Took the kids here for their first ski lesson. Nice field, great access road and really friendly staff. Not crowded and the carpark was lovely and close to everything. My only recommendation is do not hire ski gear here... terrible! Hire in Fairlie

We had such a great time, staff was super friendly, access road a well maintained gravel mountain road with some hairpin corners. It was a busy day up there and not one single time did we have to wait in a queue. This is a really unique field with a hard case cafe and long drop toilets. But best of all the snow was really nice. Thanks for a fantastic day

The ski field access road to Mt. Dobson was quite friendly for drivers even though it is a club field, especially for the top section owned & maintained by the club. It was a nice surprise for me how nice the access road was to drive on, even though it was snowing quite heavily on my way down as weather came in suddenly around 2pm.
Wind was a factor so the chair did not open until 11:30AM with only the t-bar running early morning. It was a quiet weekday. Grooming was excellent. Off-piste was very icy with "ice cookies / balls" in combination with flat light so you can't really see until you are almost on top of various icy patches & "ice cookies / balls".
Staff, ski patrol, & regular patrons were all very friendly & helpful, which is typical for small club fields. All the buildings were portable containers, very authentic for club fields. There was warm Fairlie Bakehouse pies, hot drinks, & hot soup at the cafe. Again, I enjoyed the authentic Kiwi Club fields skiing experience with the local regulars.

My son and I had a great day on this club ski field. There wasn't that much snow so the t bar wasn't open to the top but the runs from the top of the chair lift were great. Great club field and worth a visit

Excellent snow boarding instruction from Tim. Helpful lifties and very honest staff - the access road grader driver returned cash to us cash that we'd dropped on the field.
