I stayed here for a night while on business in Xuzhou. The room was a bit “tired” and the carpet and some furniture needed cleaning. I’m sure this is considered a luxury hotel, but it needs a thorough going over. It is located close to the city center, which provides access to a number of very good restaurants. The bathroom was large with a large shower and all the toiletries needed.

The breakfast was a buffet style and included dishes common to the area, like congee, steamed buns, and cold vegetable dishes.

Xuzhou is not a common destination for westerners, so be prepared that the staff has virtually no experience with a foreign language. The dining room staff did know what “coffee” was, so I was very happy!

I have stayed here with my partner three or four times in the past 5 years when visiting family here. To Western standards this is a solid 3 or 3.5 star hotel. Comfortable relatively spacious rooms and bathrooms, friendly service. Clean. The breakfast is a north Chinese-style buffet which includes dishes like congee, steamed buns and cold vegetable dishes.

The locals will say this is the most luxe hotel you can find close to the city centre of Xuzhou and within (Western standard) reasonable walking distance to the city centre, about 20 minutes. The rates are very reasonable, less than AUD$100 per night for a king or queen room.

This is right next to the university so it's a safe area. There is a bus stop right outside which is easy to use.

As with all public spaces in China, there are smokers so the lobby isn't always pleasant but just go straight up to your room.

I stayed here for four nights whilst on business in Xuzhou with a room on the executive floor. It was a clean, large room with a desktop pc, wired internet access, a big bed and a few bits in the mini bar. The bathroom was large with a fantastic shower, and all the toiletries needed.

The staff seemed very friendly, however would agree with previous review that there would have been difficulties if I was not travelling with a translator. However that would be the case with all areas of Xuzhou as it is not yet really on the tourist map. The website mentions a gym, however was locked and full of boxes at 8.30 am when I tried to use it.

The breakfast was a buffet style affair with predominantly regional food, with a small selection of ‘western’ breakfast items. Overall acceptable breakfast, particularly if are prepared to embrace the local cuisine.

Would definitely stay there again.

I was on a business trip, this hotel was suggested by our partner. Althouhg it seems to be one of the best hotels in town, reception staff could barely speak few words of English while the rest of staff could not speak it at all.
Overall quite clean, the room was big enough and looked tidy, not the same for the bathroom which had a filthy floor.
I had dinner at the hotel restaurant: only Chinese food in the menu, the quality was good and portions very big.
