“When can we go again?”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Owners were exceptionally hospitable even though we arrived later than planned.
Personal touches in rooms made a hug differences and added to value of experience. Bathroom large and spacious. Loads of pamphlets available to browse through and room had local whats on magazine. Free WIFI.
The breakfast was lovely - the home baked sconce and homemade jams a pleasant surprise.
Irish hospitality at its best. We will definitely recommend it and be back.

We spent a wonderful night at Cornerstones, my husband, my son and myself. Very quiet, very clean, very cosy, very comfortable! And the breakfast : a real feast. But the most remarkarble was the friendly and hearted welcome of the hosts. A really nice place to stay, the Connemara is beautiful, even in the rain!! We can only recommend it! Suzanne from France

We had a wonderful view of the mountains and water. The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The house is off the main road so is very quiet. Our room had 2 comfortable twin beds but a small bathroom with shower, no tub. TV in room. Computer available for a fee. Free wi-fi. Large dining room with made to order breakfast. Great place for overnight stay if you don't want to stay in town. Clifton is about a 15 minute drive and Kylemore Abbey is about 5 minutes. I would stay here again.

My wife and I had first stayed at Cornerstones for 1 night during our honeymoon 7 years ago. We enjoyed the stay so much that we planned another stay this time around with my family. It was just as I remembered it on our honeymoon, except this time, we had 4 more adults and a 15 month old along. We had the 15 month old and were given the larger family room. A cot was provided and Eithna also provided some toys for our son to play with. The room and en suite are very spacious and immaculately clean. The lounge area is nice and comfortable. All rooms overlook the mountains of Connemara. The breakfasts are wonderful, with different choices on any given day. Eithna is very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and has some good recommendations. The area is quiet but close enough to Clifden, a decent size town with many restaurants and pubs or Letterfrack, a smaller town with some places to eat. 10 minutes to Kylemore Abbey, about an hour from Galway. I looked back in the guestbook to 2005 and found we had written "One of the best of our travels so far, hope to return some day." We finally did return and I would write that comment every time we return to Cornerstones.

Room Tip: We've stayed in the family room both times which has 2 twins and a double. Plenty of space if yo...

This is a beautiful b&b with well furnished rooms. Stayed with my husband and two kids, who loved the garden. Breakfast was fab and our stay was really enjoyable. Worth every penny. Would recommend this b&b to everyone and will hopeful stay again.

We recently stayed at this lovely B&B. Very nicely furnished room, good location for getting to all places eg Clifden, national park etc. very nice hosts and fantastic breakfast. Eithna has good tips for what to do and is also sharing them ;-) if we come to this region again we will go stay at Cornerstones again! Sarah and Johannes

stayed for one night and spotted the signs off the road. beautiful house and the garden took my wifes breath away. the house was spotless and Eithna, the owner was so nice and helpful, we instantly felt like we were right at home. she gave us a awesome room with a double bed with a view of the mountains and her garden. the bathroom was so clean and no issues with the water temperature or pressure. same with the toilet, all were perfect. the bed linens were also like a hotel, very warm and so many pillows. we watched a movie later at night and it was so comfy, like our own bed at home.

the breakfast was delicious. she served us homemade jams, marmalades and fresh baked bread. it really was just like being at my own mothers house for sunday breakfast!

the price was also perfect. lower than lots of the other b and b's we had stayed in during the week and service and quality was much better, so overall me and my wife were pleased beyond belief. a gem just like the countryside.

thank you so much for a wonderful evening and breakfast and if ever we are back, would not stay anywhere else in the area!
