Very lovely place to stay. Pavo was very delightful. He offered us all the touristy guidance and informed us of the best places to eat and visit, he made sure it was simple for us to contact him at any time. The location was quiet and we had no interruptions at night. There was a hill but the view was spectacular and who doesn't enjoy a bit of exercise, right? I definitely recommend this place, and we are considering coming back next year (if we have the money).

Room Tip: We stayed in the bungalow which was very lovely, quiet and private.

Just returned from a weeks break - definitely not a location for the feint hearted due to the location but what stunning views! The apartment was amazing with spectacular views from every window and balcony. Pavo, the owner was very hospitable and helpful, proffering lifts and taking us to stock up on food, you definitely wouldn't want to carry bags up those slopes-very steep. Mlini is a very quiet, relaxed resort with a smattering of restaurants and bars. Dubrovnik is much busier, easily accessed by bus for 15Kunars, and also Cavtat which can be reached by boat or bus. A quaint seaside resort, we were charmed by it. Dubrovnik was wonderful but very tiring physically, but you can get a cab back for about 130 kunars, well worth it after a hectic day and saves the leg work up the hill. Same from Cavtat, some great restaurants. Don't miss out on the ice cream-awesome. Also, in Cavtat, a bar on the front offers cocktails for 35Kunars all day. Enjoy.

Took the easy way out for this holiday by booking a package deal with Jet2 ! Usual transfer by coach as far as a bus stop, and met there by Pavo with his people carrier, to be taken the short trip to the apartment. He insisted in carrying our cases up to the top floor apartment, and once inside showed us all the facilities - which were comprehensive to say the least - washing machine, dishwasher, satellite TV ,microwave etc etc.! It was early evening and although it had been a long day, we decided to go down the road to the nearest restaurant , the Flamingo, for a meal. This was excellent - the food was good, as was the service. Pavo had said that if we mentioned his name at a couple of restaurants we could get a lift back to the apartment, but we didn`t expect to have to do that. However, as it was late ,and although the road from there to the apartment is well lit, my good lady didn`t think she could face walking back so we asked about a lift. We were rather surprised, that within a couple of minutes, Pavo himself appeared who whisked us back to our apartment! He had already mentioned that he would take us to get anything we needed from a supermarket, which he did the next morning. This is something that you wouldn`t normally expect, and it is so handy.
We found various avenues to get around - there are a number of ways to get from the apartment to the harbour/beach area, including steps as well as the road. As might be expected they are all quite easy going down, but I must be honest, it does take a bit of effort to get back up! However, despite our ages (nearly 70) we didn`t make use of any lifts, and on some occasions we did the journey twice in one day. However, the apartment, with its balconies and views, might mean you wouldn`t want to go out at all !
Going out of Mlini, we visited Cavtat and Dubrovnic, and even took a tour to Mostar (passport needed for this trip), and all we fantastic places. With the bus stops at the bottom of the road, getting around is so easy from these apartments, and there are also water taxis from Mlini. When leaving Pavo took us back to the pick up point, and on this occasion we were met by another people carrier from Jet2 which took us to the airport - all nice and smooth!
Great apartments ,with beautiful views, and a super host - we could have chosen better accommodation or resort.

We stayed for 7 nights in early May 2013. We arrived at Dubrovnik Airport and had a private transfer who took us to the pick up point. We met the owner Pavos Tonkovic. He then took us to the apartments up a winding road. Once inside the apartment, which was well equipped, Pavos opened the balcony doors to reveal a brilliant view. We looked across the balcony and we could see a spectacular sight of the sea and coastline, this was totally amazing. The location was perfect. We were close to Mlini Harbour, which is a beautiful harbour with some really nice bars and an excellent Fish restaurant called Laternia. We also booked our boat trips at Mlini habour through Vivado (guy was called Antonio - he did us some good deals!) We also ate at Flamenco who do great pizzas. The Dubrovnik old town becomes very busy when cruise ships arrive. The Kuna is best to take with you as not all places take the Euro

My partner and i stayed here back in early september 2012 and we couldnt have picked a better place to stay. Pavo was very welcoming and even picked us up from the airport on arrival (email pavo directly to arrange this) He was a fantastic host in that he took us to the nearby market to stock up on food for the week and gave us tips on booking tours etc. He is however a busy man so catch him while you can or take his mobile number. The apartment was clean and just right for a base to explore the area. Aircon worked perfectly! We had a sea view which was just breathtaking on an evening and the area is tranquil so you will sleep at the end of a hectic day. Yes there is quite a hill to climb to get to the apartments and in the heat it was tiring but we got used to it after a couple days. There are some lovely restaurants only a short walk across the road and down towards the coast next to the hotel opposite. There is a rather rickety stone stairway leading down to that area which be warned is not well lit on a night. we ate most evenings in mlini as its much cheaper and the food was fresh every time. If you go to Dubrovnik please consider staying here, we had a lovely time.

We booked our holiday thought jet2 holidays and we certainly weren't disappointed. We were met by Pavo, having got to Mlini via our transfer from the airport, who was at once welcoming. He drove us and our luggage up the hill to the pretty apartments and we were lucky enought to have the top floor apartment with stunning views of the bay below. Pavo made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. He showed us around the apartment and how to use the satellite TV and other appliances in the beautifully clean, fresh and well equipped apartment. He offered to drive us to the supermarket the following morning at a time of our choosing and waited whilst we got our supplies and then drove us back. He said that if we needed to go again later in the week just to let him know. He then drove us to our transfer at the end of the week. His family were delightful and have the perfect balance of helpfulness whilst ensuring you have a wonderfully private, relaxed holiday. We would definitely recommend a stay and wished we'd booked a 10 or 14 day stay rather than the 7 days. The hill to the apartment is steep but easily doable and only a 5 min walk from the main road and we just used it as our daily energy burner to make way for the delicious food in the local restaurants! The beaches nearest to the apartment are a mix of sand and pebbles. We would recommend getting plastic shoes for ease of wading in the sea over a few stoney areas before reaching the sandy sea bed. The sea is wonderfully clear and was very calm and safe for swimming. The weather was superb and it was glorious blue skies and temperatures between 75 and 80 F..perfect especially after our non existent summer at home in Leeds! We also enjoyed the Flamingo restaurant along the main road and our favorite was Kanubo Marina along the harbour where we had our last meal of the holiday. The buses provided easy access to Cavtat and Dubrovnik at 15 Kuna for a single ticket. Everywhere is incredibly clean and the people extremely friendly. It was our first visit to Coatia and it certainly won't be our last with a special thanks to Pavo and his family. Sarah and Mat, Leeds

My partner and i stayed at the Tonkovic apartments in July/August for 2 weeks and we would recommend these apartments very much, the views from our balcony were stunning. Pavo was extremely helpful and we were very grateful to him for the trips to the supermarket to get our essentials. We made the most of the bus service and went to Dubrovnik regularly which took approx 20 mins, a very reliable service day and night, we also used the taxi service when staying late in dubrovnik which was also reasonably priced. We had had some lovely meals at the Flamingo in Mlini and we also had some lazy days on the beach in Mlini which is a very pretty little place. We would recommend sea kayaking in Dubrovnik and also a visit to Cavtat to the south of Mlini. We also managed the hill up to the apartments - the views are well worth the effort! Overall, we had a fantastic holiday, Pavo was a great host and the surrounding area is beautiful.
