“Not Good to stay here”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

1) Hotel room wasnt available for what we had reserved, we ha to sleep in the owners sons room for the 1st night of our stay with no shower, had to use the owners shower with no discount.
2) The owner is constantly asking you to attend cheap events that cost a lot
3) The showers in the real room we had, had a real problem with construction, the shower holder was faling away from the wall. The ceiling is very low and you hit your head all the time
4) The hotel is advertised with all rooms having a balcony, this is true to a certain level except that the balcony doesnt really allow more than 1 person at a squeeze to stand on it.
5) The bins are not emptied and in the heat this can be pretty nasty.

There is a very steep walk up the hill to the hotel, also it is very hard to find, the path is also very narrow.
The free hotel parking is not hotel parking and due to this a parking space is not gaurrenteed as promised in the advertising. The parking place is actually on the main road for a shopping arcade. Be careful.

The owner only accepts cash, no credit cards accepted, so make sure you have enough cash for the whole stay.

Dogs are allowed

The breakfast is ok

We spent 10 days at Villa Adriatic last summer. It is reasonably good accommodation however I wouldn't spend a penny for food offered by owner. First of all we knew about stairs which lead you to the villa so we didnt have a problem with this. I wouldnt recommend this for old people as well as family with kids. Get to the beach is easy but it takes while going downstairs altogether more than 300 steps and you have to pass main road which can be very dangerous too. What was very positive about location you get very nice see view from the hill where villa is situated. In regards to owner it is difficult to describe him. Basically he is trying to sell everything what he can. That really makes sense if you consider the fact they have to secure income to live on in winter season. However after two days it can be annoying getting offered evening meal for 15eur/person (soup+main dish+glass of wine) which in my opinion is way to much for this place. You can eat out every evening for almost same price in different restaurants and don't get bored of repetitious food. We only had breakfast booked with our accommodation. I have to say that we paid 5eur/person for breakfast so for that we expected reasonable breakfast. after three days when we though that breakfast will change we got very upset. Every morning we were given 3-4slices of cooked ham, 2slices of cheese, homemade jam and butter. Everything has come with few cut pieces of baguette. There was 1 cup of coffee or tea served with breakfast and that was it. I am not very fussy about food but if you take 10euros go to local supermarket you get anything really. In the summer season you would expect some fresh salad, tomatoes, peper. After so many days having same breakfast we started joking between us and suddenly we got 2 boiled eggs. It was like a miracle. Dont get me wrong but for 10eur surely you can offer little bit more which doesnt cost a fortune and you can still make profit. Wouldnt ever go there for a long stay. We saw so many people coming and going over 10 days so I presume that if you stay one or two nights you can live with it. If do want to get away from owner just say hello to him dont get deep in any conversation cos he will be annoying you every morning with his offer for evening meal.

The staff was extremely helpful and the facilities were very good. It was an easy trip into Dubrovnik by bus. Great place to stay.

Very cold water. You'll be charged for extra drink you'll ask for ( although you'll be told about charges at the end of your holiday), no information about prizes dispalyed! Very rude owner, having no respect to his guests( we were witnesses his impolite behaviour to other guests as well, not only to us)

On our family trip to Croatia, We ordered by email an apartment for 5 people with shower, with breakfast and separate kitchen (110EUR) for one night.

The way to the apartment is really inconvenient - about 250 meter of a steep rise in a narrow path and many stairs.
When we entered to the house, the owner (Camo) received us and directed us to three rooms inside his own house. The shower was outside of the rooms, fourth room beside us was the owner's room. The rooms were in basic level and inconvenient (there is no table and electric sockets in appropriate places). Later we discovered that our closet filled up with their clothes!

There is a main kitchen in the yard, that his wife manages. And there is a smaller kitchenette for the guests in the edge of the yard that locked up at night.
I told him that this is not what we ordered, and he answered that he gave us the best rooms and that I do not need to complain and finally - if I am not interested, I can go.
Since we didn't want to miss the night walk in Dubrovnik, we decided to stay for the night.
When we returned in 22:00, quite tired, we found out that there are no hot water for shower. They turn on the switch and indicated that there will be water in the two min. later they said that there will be hot water in another 10 minutes. Meanwhile my little daughter fell asleep.

After half hour I turned to Camo to see what's new, and he started to yell at me, and threatened that if I will continue to complain he will throw me from his house, and that he want me to pay him right now.
At 23:00, I went down to the street and I found two studio apartments with bath and kitchen and facilities (until 14:00 the next day ) in eur100.We gather our things and went out.
On our way outside his wife threaten us that they go to the police. Camo acted vulgarly, pushed my daughter, and kept yelling, insult and defame us. He refuses to give us the things we stored in the guests fridge. We ignored and exited this Ugly place

* It is important to point out that in all other places that we stayed in Croatians we found a pleasant and hospitable people.

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to flying home. Our friends had a lovely, large room with a sea view at the front of the hotel. Unfortunately we had a room up on the second floor in the eaves of the building. It was a very dark with broken furniture, no bedside lamps and one very dim ceiling light. The bathroom was clean but the cabinet had a pane of mirror missing and the shower curtain was secured with fishing line from the ceiling. However, there were two large bottles of shampoo and shower gel as well as a bar of soap for our use.
We had an evening meal at the hotel which was really excellent. The two courses including a red mullett main course was very good value for money at 15 Euros. Breakfast was also very good with a good choice of ham, cheese and home made jam.
The owners were very friendly and couldn't help us more. It is a shame that the good food and hospitality was let down by the poor state of the room that we had.
