Third time at the Elba Carlota, just as good as previous years.
Great value for money, we were half board, went to the shopping centre next door for lunch supplies and drinks.
We had a fridge in the room along with kettle, although you had to provide the milk after the first day.
Staff were fantastic, Daniel on reception couldn't do enough for us, so helpful.
Rooms very clean, although I do agree with others regarding the tables around the pool area.
Sadly you have to get up early to reserve a decent sunbed with an umbrella ( essential for our pale skin). The pools were the perfect temperature for us two, one very cold, good for proper swimming, the other much warmer for splashing around. Water clean and clear.
The food was fine, always plenty to choose from, sometimes quite random items were served, for example, brussel sprouts were included in the breakfast buffet! You would have to be a very very fussy eater not to find something you like on the menu.
Not much to do nearby, apart from relax by the pool and enjoy the weather, exactly what we wanted. The beach was beautiful although we didn't swim in the sea. Did walk to the local town ( about 20 mins) and visited a small market, typically selling the usual designer goods?
Check out was midday, so if you have a late flight, let reception know a couple of days before and they will book you into a room for half hour for a shower and freshen up.

Room Tip: Join the Fedility scheme before you go via the hotel web site. Get a Taxi from the airport, we landed and were in our room within half an hour, it only cost 12 euros.

Nice hotel, pool area and grounds lovely and clean private beach good location. Food all inclusive was nice and varied dining staff very attentive. Rooms clean and great view of sunrise. Entertainment in the daytime lacking really however night time there was something on every night. Small shopping center located within walking distance including a supermarket. Late check in 3pm so have to wait for rooms if on an early flight. Spa is in the hotel Sheraton next door and not in the hotel grounds, the gym is sparse few weights and a treadmill.Overall nice hotel.

Room Tip: Pool side rooms great sea view 5th floor

It was our first stay at the Elba Carlota and it is a fantastic hotel, we only went for a week but i wish I had booked for two weeks, and we will go back soon. We went H/B because it was only myself and my 4 year old grandson so H/B was plenty for us. In the main restaurant there was always plenty to choose from and good quality of food, the kids club was loved by my grandson so he was off for a few hours a day. Next door to the Hotel there was a lovely shopping mall with some lovely shops and a very good Spar Supermarket. and downstairs in the mall there was also a little kids park and things such as quad bikes and go-carts and a lovely cafe so I could sit in the sun (or shade if you want) and enjoy a coffee and keep an eye on my Grandson, All the staff at this hotel were very helpfull and friendly. the rooms were a good size and cleaned daily, and we had a lovely pool/sea view. I would recommend this hotel it is a very good 4 star, can't wait to return.

This was our third visit to the Elba Carlota, and I would say my favourite holiday out of the three.
Elba Carlota is only 10 minutes from the airport which makes for a nice quick transfer on arrival. We were given a friendly reception and the staff recognised that this was our third visit, as a result we had fruit and cava waiting in our room and had been upgraded to a sea view. Sadly we had arrived too late for any hot food from the restaurant (service finishes at 10pm) but they arranged a cold meal to be served at 11.
We had a really good room overlooking the pool area, no problems with noise and nice thick curtains so the morning sun didn't wake us up - in fact they made it so dark we had to set an alarm otherwise we would have stayed asleep! The room had tv (only one English channel, BBC World News), safe (chargeable), fridge, kettle and air conditioning. The bathroom had a shower over the bath. Initially we had one hard pillow and one soft but we asked for extra soft pillows and these were supplied with no problem.
Meals in the restaurant are buffet style, with waiter/waitress service for drinks. There is an area where you eat outside, we had breakfast outside every day. We have no complaints about the range or quality of the food, and always found plenty to eat for every meal! There were occasional "theme" nights including oriental food on Sundays and a traditional musical group wandering the restaurant on Mondays.
This was the first time we had been "all inclusive" and we were very impressed at the range of drinks available including spirits, sangria, cocktails and wine (each person can get two drinks at a time). The pool bar also had snacks available in the afternoon. All the bar and restaurant staff were friendly and hard working, but the lobby bar and Sinatra bar often only had one person working which sometimes meant a bit of a wait.
The hotel has two large pools (one heated, although it still felt a bit cold when you first got in!) and a smaller childrens pool. Sunbeds around the pool were generally reserved with towels, despite the many notices prohibiting this. The pool area was safe and clean with lifeguards on duty at all times when the pool was open.
There was a good range of activites available for those who choose to participate - we particularly enjoyed the "club dances" and aqua gym, there was also yoga, sports, other games, dance lesson and Spanish lessons. The evening entertainment included a Spanish Abba tribute, Spanish Elvis and Celtic Nights "Riverdance"-style show. There was plenty of activities for young children including the "mini club" and a kids disco each evening. Unexpectedly, the "animacion" team were all French and some of them did not speak English particularly well, however they were all extremely friendly and hard working, and certain members were absolutely hillarious with their crazy antics. (Other hotel staff were Spanish/Canarian).
On our last day we were sadly unable to secure a late checkout for our room so had to checkout at 12:00, but we were provided with a "courtesy room" for 30 minutes at a time of our choosing, and there is a room where luggage can be left with lockers for valuable items.
In summary, we really enjoyed our holiday in Elba Carlota and are already longing to return there in the near future!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are nicest, try for floors 4 or 5 for the best views. South facing rooms get more sun on the balcony.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, couldn't fault the service or accommodation, room was lovely and clean and had the biggest bed we'd ever seen! Leads right onto the beach and the bars and restaurant were wonderful. Only things I would have changed was to have a little more entertainment aimed towards adults, and the check-in time of 3 was a little late, but we loved our stay anyway. Very family friendly with loads of entertainment for kids, but not so much that we felt overwhelmed by it (we travelled as a couple). The food and drinks choice was fantastic, the barmen were mixing up spirits and juices up to make me cocktails to my taste, and there was even a casino on-site too! Would definitely rate this hotel and would consider staying here again, and will be looking at the other Elba hotels in other locations also.

Room Tip: Upgrading to junior suite would be a good choice, we didn't and although the room was lovely and big, we would have loved to have a sea view and in hindsight probably should have paid the little bit extra for it.
