We stayed here from 23/07/2018 till 25/07/2018. Whilst visiting the area regarding a possible relocation and work for my husband. It is fairly nice in appearance our bathroom was large walk-in shower. The wardrobes are of a good size, however, the left side had no hanging rail, for anything but would be ideal should they put a rail in for trousers & dresses. There's a safe for a charge, id contacted them prior to arriving to ask if there was ironing facilities, i was advised they have irons, but not ironing boards. It was extremely hot with 26+ of an evening and the air con was rubbish I get more from a desk fan back home. Had we been staying longer then we would have complained about this, The bed was huge and hard as snails. Sleep wasn't good. Decided to go pool after breakfast, when we arrived at the beautiful pool we found the times totally ridiculous at opening at 10.00 closing at 1930. It should be open at least 8.00 in the morning, and why close so early when the heat is still at its height till gone 21.00 The morning of departure we searched all the leaflet in our room with hotel information on but no early breakfast could be booked, no coffee in rooms or lobby, so off for a long day travelling with nothing to eat or drink, this is the worst non offering ive ever encountered in any accommodation ive stayed in over 30years...NOT FOUR STAR AS CLAIMED ..

Room Tip: Ask for a room around back of hotel mas those at the front have afternoon/evening sun which leave balconies unbearable

Dear Carol and Jeff,

Thank you for choosing Valle del Este for your recent stay in the area, we trust that the trip went well for you and are sorry to read the title and ranking of your review on Tripadvisor.

After reading your comment we believe that sometimes communication is vital, and that in this case it would have solved a big part of your dissappointment. The A/C works normally in the rooms providing that the windows are closed, but reporting a failure to the Hotel Reception would be enough to have a specialist looking into it.

For example, the issue regarding Breakfast is another case of miscommunication; although there are of course opening hours, we gladly prepare picnics for those customers who need to depart de Hotel in the very early hours.

Finally we cannot see a reason for our Venue to be Spanish orientated; our Staff speak English and we cater for thousands of international guests every year, specially during the Golf High Season.

Sincerely,

Valle del Este Hotel · Golf · Spa

We sent 11 nights here - hiring a car for a midweek 4 days to see the local area. We had booked through Ascot golf and had all arrangements organised for the hotel and transfers by them. We cannot thank the hotel staff enough for their quiet yet positive attention. Reception staff were highly skilled and patient - although the electronic keys tended to fail after a couple of days.

Golf facilities were obviously being updated during this low season however all staff, both in the club house and on the course were helpful , courteous and flexible to requests. Changing tee times to miss the busier moments was easy and the course was challenging but not too long. My son and I enjoyed the course immensely - the greens were in great condition - pitchmark repairer at the ready. We found that the flag positions were changed each morning and we had a great time on the course - on course marshall providing cool drinks and snacks was a real bonus.

We took the half board option with the odd lunch and felt we got good value for money. See other reviews for the details of breakfast etc. (Slight concern over the sparrows who would attack your food should you leave it unattended) Waiters were great and Jacinto (?) deserves a mention for his attention and determination to understand my poor Spanish! We had a suite and double room for the kids and this was well serviced each morning. I do feel that the hotel does require a little updating as it is tired in places. The Spa was used by the ladies and was a super addition to the holiday - 90 mins each day and we seemed to miss the modernisation days.

Overall - a great place if you pick the time of your break and like to play millionaires' golf - good food and service and happy staff - mostly! (I wonder if England play Spain in the world cup final in 4 years time we will be allowed to take my dinner into the bar from the restaurant to watch it? )

Dear Adrian,

Many thanks for your stay and the time taken to post your review on Tripadvisor.

Opinions like yours are a true advise to other guests who might consider our Venue, as you describe the holidays from a fair and realistic standpoint.

For guests who spend long stays in the Hotel and hire a car, an idea might be to visit Granada and its Alhambra one day, it´s about 2 hours from the Resort and such magical city cannot be missed.

We will indeed feed your comment to Jacinto as he´s a hard worker and often praised for his attention to customers, All the constructive feedback received from our customers is taken to improve our facilities and provide you with the fantastic experience that you deserve.

Please don´t hesitate recommending Valle del Este to other friends and we look forward to seeing you in the future.

best Regards,

I was amazed at the deal we found just 2 days in advance. We found a 2 night stay, including breakfast and the spa circuit for an amazing price! This resort is a bit remote if you don't have a car, so be prepared to just stay on property, if you can't get around. The breakfast buffet was nice and had someone preparing eggs as well as mini pancakes. We had lunch at the pool restaurant and the burgers were great. The pub across the street in the shopping center was excellent value for money. Really good prices and food. The pool was refreshing and we joined in with some of the daily activities.

Of course it is hot in July, so we decided to enjoy breakfast as late as possible, then hang out at the pool. We then would go explore Mojacar, Garrucha or Vera at about 6pm - 11pm so we could walk around when it was a little cooler. Then just eat dinner out. This worked out very well. The rooms were spacious and the hotel staff was very nice.

We really enjoyed the spa circuit the day we arrived. It is a nice ambiance. Unfortunately they were doing some repairs so the main pool wasn't working. The spa was smaller than expected, but very nice.

Room Tip: I think it is worth have a pool view, as you have a nice distant view of towns, and sea too.

Dear Clients,

Many thanks for having selected Valle del Este for your recent 2 night stay in Almería. In fact the Resort is just by the Highway, but a bit isolated from other areas so it´s peaceful and quiet. The surrounding beaches of Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar are just 6 miles away from the Resort and there is a wide selection of beaches, villages and ambiences.

The Spa is now 100% operational and we apologise if there were some repairs when you visited; we always strive to keep our facilities in the best condition for our clients.

We look forward to welcoming you in a future stay,

Let's start by saying that this hotel is not very close to the airport of Murcia about 1 hr 45 mins drive, but that is where the negatives stopped!! (closer from Almaria airport but couldn't get decent flight times)
We were travelling as a group of 12 golfers on a 50th birthday, we were staying on a half board basis.
We arrived at the hotel at about 10 pm, check in was quick and at the desk the clerk told us that we would have some food brought to our rooms for our evening meal which was great of them as we had missed the closing time of the restaurant, we dropped our bags off and headed to the small commercial center a few yards away from the hotel, there are 3 -4 bars a couple of restaurants and a small supermarket. We ended up in the golf bar until about 2am went back to our rooms and had our meal (continental buffet food).
breakfast the next morning was very good, the freshly cooked omelettes are fab. As we weren't teeing off until 1.30pm we decided to have a couple of hours round the pool, the pool areas are very nice also a good outdoor seating area just outside the bar. All the drinks in the hotel are very reasonably priced probably the cheapest hotel drinks I've bought.
Now to the golf course..It's a bit of a toughie in places, some very good holes and it needs some accuracy, don't get the big dog out on every hole as it can bite you in the backside!!
a lot of elevation changes which I found really interesting, I did enjoy the course a lot there are some very good holes on it.
It did help me as a single figure handicapper being a bit more accurate with my shots as some of the higher handicappers struggled in places, but saying that everyone really enjoyed it.
I played golf on 3 days with higher handicapped players 21+ and yes they thought it was tough, but they wanted to play it again the next day to get even with it!!
I'd read that it was miles from anywhere on a couple of reviews but we booked 3 taxis from the hotel to the coastal resort of Mojocar Playa which took about 15 mins to get there and was €23 each way between 4 of us which made it about £10 return each which I think was pretty good.
Mojocar Playa is pretty busy quite a few beach clubs and some bars in the town predominantly Spanish people in the beach clubs but it is Spain?? we all had a fab night out there, would recommend it for a visit if you are staying at Valle Del Este.
my overall feeling is that as a group we had a great time, great laugh some good and bad golf and a very good hotel.
You cannot fault this place for the money we booked through Glencor Golf, 3 nights half board and 3 rounds of golf was £175 amazing value.
would I go back, probably as a mid to large group yes
maybe would see if we could get flights from Almaria airport next time but I wouldn't let that put you off visiting this place.

Dear Clients,

It´s fantastic to read your thorough review on Tripadvisor and how much fun the group had on your Birthday golfing break.

Indeed our Resort is a 4* Hotel & Golf Course with a Spa and a mid size Shopping Center. The value for money is one of the key aspects and it becomes vital for our clients experiences.

Valle del Este is only about 6 miles from the beach and like you say, taxis aren´t highly priced to get to the beach.

We hope that you can recommend our venue to other fellow golfers and look forward to seeing you back in the future.

On the driving range and the workers relative was playing music load with no respect for any one. Thought the martial was coming to speak to him but seems like he approved of this behaviour and then let him drive from the grass which was not allowed. Also the range balls are in poor condition €2 for 25 and I had 5 sub standard balls. Such a shame.

Dear Customer,

We are very sorry to read your review and it´s actually hard to believe that the related has taken place at our venue.

As you well know, music is not permitted within the golf premises as silence is requested at all times. We have discussed this feedback with our Caddy Master team and looks apparent that if it happened at Valle del Este, it will certainly not happen again.
