We had internet reservations and checked in without any problem. It is a typical Spanish family beach hotel. Do not expect the luxuries that you would expect in a 4-star european ciy hotel. However the hotel is very clean and well maintained. I only have a complain with the cleanliness of the common men toilet by the pool, which always smelled of urine. The staff were generally excellent. The hotel offers the typical buffet food found in beach hotels. It was nothing "gourmet" but the quality and presentation were good. We saw all kinds of people there: families, gay men and women, couples, and singles. I do not think that the customers were really true naturists, because true naturists would object to having a big bathtub in the room. Beware that people are naked and that means that you will see not only beautiful bodies, but also the bodies of old and fat people. The best was the pool, which was lots of fun and had very clean water almost without chlorine. The hot tub was excellent, with adequate water pressure and temperature. Customers "booked" the pool deck sunbeds in the morning lying their towels, which is a typical Spanish custom, and you should do likewise if you want to have a sunbed. The hotel has direct access to the sandy naturist Vera beach, which was convenient. Do not expect the kind of "adult entertainment" that you would expect in a hotel full of nude people, because the night entertainment is for children. We found the hotel atmosphere rather asexual. However there are several good pubs and two "swinger" joints right outside the hotel. You can take the free mini-train to the nearby town of Garrucha, which is full of fish restaurants and has a fisfhing and yatch port.

Room Tip: You'd better ask for a room on the second floor with direct view on the sea. You'll be able...

Second visit to this hotel. Our first was in 2010 and not much has changed since we reviewed it then. The hotel is still dated and in need of a makeover but they have kept the maintenance up so the place is quite tidy and kept nicely clean. We went half-board which is the most flexible option-if anything the food had improved a little since our first visit but remained a fairly average buffet. As before the loungers round the pool got booked quite early and we tended to use the loungers on the beach (extra charge) although on two days of our stay we were driven back to sit at the pool by wind and flying sand on the beach. The included wifi is far too slow to use so we paid 20 euro for the fast service for our week there-this was excellent. The immediate area outside the hotel is still a bit scrappy but if you travel a bit further by car/taxi there is a good choice of restaurants in the local area. Overall, it is the naturism which makes this place and means it is well worth considering for a relaxing break which is the reason it gets a very good rating from us.

Room Tip: The studios have small kitchens which is useful

Stayed as a couple, apart from a few stray hairs missed by the cleaner in the bathroom our whole accommodation was clean and bright better than reviews led me to expect. Communal areas are clean. SUNBEDS NEED NEW COVERS they will damage your back if you lay face down.
Pool area and pool is fab, staff good, the manager is exceptional and cares deeply, the short comings are so blatantly a head office refusing to invest issue.
Tv must be 20 years old plus signal is rubbish 6 grainy channels
No kettle or tea making facilities
Bed and mattress were fab
2013 internet 6 euros a day or one hour free in the lobby, please , get with the times.
This hotel i find frustrating because with some not too major tweaking it could be so much more.
Did we enjoy our stay , yes

Could become a nice 4 star i would rate it currently as a slightly tired three star

Dear guest,
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding our hotel. I am certainly disappointed that your stay was not all that it could have been.
As you say in your comment, we do our best trying to keep everything in order to you, cleaning and maintenance. Year after year we change a number of sunbeds, but still are not all of them new. We certainly do not have kettle in every single room, but next time please ask reception, maybe we can offer you one.
The internet service is not part of our facilities, there is an external company who do this.
I am very pleased to know you enjoyed your time and appreciate the professionalism of the staff.

We will have very much in mind your impressions and we will work to improve these points marked so that in the next visit your perception of the product received is entirely satisfactory.

there are many hotels out there that would knock Vera Playa Club into a cocked hat.If you are a dedicated naturist then you really haven't much choice.3 star it is , 4 star it aint.Situated at the end of a cul de sac VP caters well for the naturist crowd who, overall are not that demanding. You can be naked throughout the hotel unti 8pm,except the restaurant for lunch & breakfast.Breakfast is buffet and to be honest I could not really fault it & all tastes are catered for.We had 1 dinner in the restaurant which was buffet and OK,only OK.Bar service is good and the waiters [dressed] are polite, speak generally good English. From the back of the hotel is access to the naturist beach which is coarse sand.Plenty of room and 2 beach bars,Cota Zero, naturist and plenty of atmosphere & snacks. The hotel pool is excellent with waterfalls, slides and a life guard in attendance at most times. The sunbeds were plentifull but the hotel was no where near full.BUT the beds are old & sagged until they are uncomfortable.I noticed some folks took there own lilo type beds to put on top.Plenty of shade from palm trees. The rooms were adequate with large bath& shower, cleaned daily and towels changed if required.Safe is chargable and not cheap,42 Euro for 10 days.Restaturants outside are English style and simple menus.Best bar I thought was Broadway [no food]kept by Mad Annie but lovely atmosphere and drink selection,A gay bar inorder to be PC which was open to all.Couple of swingers clubs which opened too late for me to be bothered ! An excellent Indian,The Taj Mahal.Best catch the Road Train leaving around 6 pm to Garrucha for the best choice of Spanish restaurants.Would I go again ? Yes, don't expect luxury, but you will have fun[especially in the hot tub, nuff said !] ,I would have scored 4 not 3 but 4 is very good & I consider VP to be good & above average.Almost forgot, all rooms have fridge for your own drinks.

Room Tip: 4 floors, top 2 give better view of sea from balcony. You can upgrade for a few dollars more on arriva...

It is a good news you enjoyed our facilities at the pool. Our beds in the pool area maybe are not all of them new ones, but we change every year a number, and keep in maintenance the rest.
It is also nice to know you enjoyed our buffet service at breakfast or dinner.
Safety deposit box is under payment in the most of the hotels around the world, and the price is standard one.

the is a very large nudist resort.....the good: large pool, lots of chairs, great beach, great weather, decent restaurants right outside, a few clubs if you like. mostly european crowd.

The bad: lounge chairs at the beach must be gotten in the morning, they are locked up after that, not sure what time....the food is fair, but we didnt go for the food and also depending on how you feel about kids, there are a lot of kids. depends on your cultural upbringing...

the beach is so big you can really walk....the hotel is clean, i wouldnt say 4 stars, but it was nice....

A lot of people have given the basics here so I'll keep it brief:

1. Property is spotless, gardens are fantastic and the pool is very nice.
2. Staff are outstanding (only one guy on the grill let them down with frozen steaks, check..)
3. Rooms are fine, clean, and spacious. Beds a little on the hard side (always something...:-)
4. The air con works :-)
5. The water pressure was fantastic (on the ground floor)
6. Meals were ok, plenty of choice but buffet style rather than restuarant
7. On all inclusive (recommend it) I was surprised to be handed a bottle of wine with lunch and be given the bottle to finish in my room
8. Entertainment is ok - really just nice to relax outside at the end of the day
9. Nothing much on the strip (that we fancied anyhow) but Garruche is worth a visit - lots of spanish restaurants, will return this time.

Nice mix of people from all nationalities. A place to relax and get some peace, not a lot of shouting and music noise. See you at the end of August

Room Tip: Room Tip - study/studio rooms have a small kitchenette and fridge, the fridge was handy.

We paid quite alot for this holiday. For a two week stay all inclusive it was £950 each. We brought our own towels so we didn't have to pay for hotel towels. The sun loungers by the pool did hurt my back after a while. The room was big and had a huge round bath and a little kitchenette even though we we all inclusive. So we could go to the supermarket which was within walking distance and buy our own food. The food was good in the restaurant and was good quality. My only criticism was that the staff although were attentive to my partner, ignored me. It would probably be better also if the drinks were on tap, rather than having to be served with bottled drinks by the waitresses. One day In the restaurant I was sitting at our table and one of the waitresses came over and started talking to me in spanish, saying "Comida, comida". i didn't know what she was saying. Apparently it turned out I was sitting on the wrong side of the restaurant. I was amazed that they were so off hand. In general the bar staff and restaurant staff were not very nice to me and seemed to concentrate their attentions on my partner! We could also go to the beach which was great and we brought our own beach shelter for that (like a tent). The staff on reception were very helpful and polite and spoke good English. The nearest Chemists and cash machine is in Palomares 2km away and we walked there. There is a nice restaurant on the way back where they speak good English.

I am confused about the situation you describe in restaurant, because I think that was a misunderstanding between you and a waitress that maybe couldn’t speak good English. Please, if you note this at any other time, contact a manager at restaurant or with recepcion and we solve that situation in the same moment.
I notice you really enjoyed your staying with us, and it is good to know.
