The hotel is on a great location, the rooms are clean and comfortable (not fancy but well decorated). The hotel stuff are very friendly and help with all we needed.
Close to the beach and the villages around (walking distance).
Perfect location if you are looking for quit and non-tourist location with perfect beach and ocean view.

We took a quick trip from Oaxaca to spend three days at Casa Pan de Miel, and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. We have nothing negative to say about the hotel; it was remarkable, and the staff were warm and friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The view is utterly gorgeous, and we spent a lot of time in the pool, hanging on the edge looking out to the ocean, watching the surf crash against the big rocks. It was heaven.

Our room was just fine, spacious and quite clean. The air conditioning was quiet and cold, exactly what you want for good sleeping. The setting was quiet, and we were never disturbed by noise of any kind. We ate breakfast at the hotel two mornings, and walked into Mazunte once. The hotel's breakfast was just great, and abundant. They use local ingredients and buy a special granola from a family in Mazunte that's probably the best granola my wife has ever had. It's just a very special place.

If you enjoy swimming in the sea and don't mind the waves, there is a wonderful beach a short walk from the hotel, down an easy flight of stairs. It seemed like it was going to be a long walk, or that the stairs would be treacherous, but it was actually close, and the stairs were easily navigable. The beaches in the area are very nice, and there's a variety of spots so you can do some body surfing if you like that, or sit at the edge of the surf if that's more your speed.

Our last night, a hurricane was brewing nearby and we were a little concerned about our flight the next morning. The staff notified us (without our asking them to find out for us) that the airport would be closing at 11 the next morning, so our flight would probably be ok. They provided us with a small battery-powered light in case the electricity went out (it never did). We felt watched over and taken care of, in the best way.

They'd arranged a cab for us at 5:30 in the morning but we hadn't been given sufficient information. 5:30 came and went, and we had no idea how to contact the staff in case the cab didn't come. He did come finally, at 5:45, but we had some tense moments wondering what to do and not having any idea how to reach the staff. That was our only concern over the entire stay.

We loved the place and want to return next year. We'll be a little more watchful of the weather forecast if we go in June.

What else can one say? Spectacular views everywhere you look. Beautifully designed, with well-shaded balconies (with hammocks), a gorgeous infinity pool, and very nice, open public spaces, it is the sort of place that one really hates to leave. Add to that the genuinely warm and helpful company of the owner, Ann, and her charming staff, Mariana and Marta (all of whom speak excellent English), and you really can’t do better.

It is a bit of a hike (down a cliff-side staircase of 175 or steps) to the beach, but what a lovely beach it is (San Augustinillo). And you do have to go out for dinner (well, the rooms have a refrigerator and microwave; some even have a small kitchen). A particular recommendation for dinner: El Alquimista (sp?) at Zipolite—and they’ll call a taxi to get you home. And for what it’s worth, the wifi worked quite nicely in our room (and on the balcony). Enjoy! You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed for 4 nights at Casa Pan de Miel. It was our first time there and it was heaven. We didn't have to worry about anything. The team and Anne take care of every little details and make us feel really fortunate and specials.
The breakfast and the food were all homemade and really tasty. For dinners they recommend us really good restaurants just near by. The view is just amazing. We will come back.

We could completely relax in this wonderful place, the views from the beautiful circular central meeting room, our own room and balcony and the swimming pool are an inspiration and privilage to experience. All the facilities are carefully considered and designed. The service is excellent and the position unbeatable. All the staff were friendly, discrete and helpful. Sofia and Alan

Casa Pan de Miel is truly a beautiful and serene place. Its location, situated on top of a cliff, provides really stunning views of the Pacific. In fact, since the pool is an infinity pool, one gets the impression of blending right into the horizon. To sit next to that pool under the cabanas and just read a novel is my type of vacation! Also, the breakfasts and lunches are excellent. The staff is very friendly, and Mariana is a wonderful hostess. And it is actually quite affordable, especially by the standards of most resorts. Mazunte is a charming little town, too, with many nice places to eat, virtually all of them very inexpensive, by American standards. We hope to return someday to Casa Pan de Miel and stay even longer. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay while at the ocean, this one should be very high on your list.

Room Tip: I think the room we stayed in was Number 5. It was above the terrace and had a terrific view. I did...

We stayed for 3 nights at Casa Pandemiel and would have stayed longer but the hotel was booked full over the Easter period. Anne, the owner and Mariana the manager we truly delightful and could not do enough for us. The location i stunning high on a cliff with sweeping views of the ocean below. the infinity pool edge lets you hang out above the beach below...it is not unusual to see someone with their arms draped over the wet edge and not move for hours...just gazing out to sea. The rooms are all lovely and the main social area is very chic and comfortable. the breakfast and lunch snacks are all delicious. You can walk down stone steps carved into the cliff to the beach and then walk along the main beaches and restaurants. And then after the climb back up, jump into the pool again!
