“Brilliant autumn break!”
Reviewed November 13, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Late October weekend with family and small grandchildren. The cottage is lovely and spacious with stunning views. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bedrooms comfortable and the travel cot and stairgate easy to set up. The whole cottage was delightful and contributed to a welcome relaxing weekend. Both the pebble beach at Winchelsea and beautiful long sandy beach at Rye were perfect for paddling. When the sun wasn't shining there were plenty of great pubs and quaint shops to visit in Rye. Very helpful contact with the owner before the visit - many thanks for a great weekend.

“Perfect weekend in fabulous location”
Reviewed September 28, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We visited Corwainers in Winchelsea with friends and had a fantastic weekend. The cottage was excellently equipped and every little thing had been thought of. A welcoming shortbread selection and bottle of wine was a lovely added touch. The cottage was clean, extremely comfortable and perfect for 8 people. The view from the garden was stunning and the village of Winchelsea was lovely (be sure to visit the church). Thanks again for a great stay, everyone left with a huge smile on their face.

“Wonderful holiday”

We had a wonderful week in Cordwainers - the house is really lovely, we ate breakfast lunch and even tea on the deck in the garden with amazing views. Really relaxing break - great cycling and walking and even a couple of days on the beach. Recommend doing the cellar tours if they are on when you are there as we found out lots about Winchelsea that way. Would most definitely book again. Helen really helpful with queries before our stay.

“Lovely cottage with an unspoilt view on the Bede valley”
Reviewed September 10, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Lovely spacious cottage, well furnished with lots of small attentions for the visitors.
Coming from the continent we forgot to take a plug convertor with us. No problem, we found it on the spot. The same for plastic food bags, salt and pepper and so many other small things.

Marvellous view on the Bede valley up to the town of Rye.
All that in historic Winchelsea, once a Cinque Ports city, now a little village high on the hill overlooking the valleys beneath.
As could have been expected in Uk good footpaths through the marshes below with just the sheep as onlookers. And the sea is not far away.
