This very old property, 750 years old I think, is a very interesting and quirky place to stay. We spent 2 nights here in one of the older bedrooms where the floor slopes one day and the walls another. It has plenty of character including low beams to catch you unawares!
There I think 13 different bedrooms and it can get a little cramped when it is full, especially at breakfast. There is soft fruit, fruit juice and a large range of cooked breakfasts that caters for every eventuality. Breakfast is served in a room that looks out over the garden.
Winchelsea village is a short walk away where there is a good pub, a shop and an interesting church.
So in short an interesting place to stay where it pays not to be too tall...More
