Never been to a zizzi's before, as we approached the restaurant it looked very inviting. We waited a few minutes to be seated and straight away our waitress for the night was very attentive and helpful. We gave her our daughters birthday cake to bring out later in the night and so we arranged a signal to acknowledge when we wanted it. We were seated right by the window which was nice and served with drinks almost immediately. We ordered our starters and whilst that was cooking we pondered and then ordered our main so that was cooking whilst we eat our starter. The starter came we had a 'sharer' which contained a mixture of everything, the only slight disappointment was that the prawns on skewers were somewhat cold (but cooked) the rest was piping hot and delicious. The mains were lovely served on wooden boards, pizza was huge as was the calzone, all felt very authentic Italian and it certainly didn't feel like a 'chain' restaurant. The cake came out to complete the evening as requested and on time. Overall great experience would highly recommend if you are after authentic Italian, if your after burger and chips this is not for you.
