“The most perfect get away a couple could ask for.”
Reviewed August 3, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We arrived promptly on Thursday afternoon and were greeted by Mark who had prepared an amazing Welsh tea (cakes, cheeses, crackers) and then showed us round the lodge. He also left us a freezing cold bottle of prosecco next to the warm hot tub that he'd prepared for us already.

The lodge itself was like none other. Lots of useful extras were provided like an amazing coffee maker and a set-up TV with netflix (which we found very useful). Everything was up to immaculately clean standards, no problems were found whatsoever and we had the most amazing, care free and relaxing holiday.

To top it off Mark and Jo were both lovely to meet and my girlfriend and I are keen to return in the future!

“Pictures do not do this place justice!”
Reviewed July 5, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Myself and my wife have just returned from staying at Ty Coed lodge, we booked this for a weekend as a mini honeymoon.
We arrived to a lovely warm welcome from both hosts Jo and Mark who welcomed us with a fantastic afternoon tea and a suprise bottle of fizz to celebrate our wedding. They were very helpful and friendly.
The lodge is amazing, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything needed. The pictures do not do this place justice at all!
We cannot wait to go back.

“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed June 13, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We only just left the wonderful Ty Coed lodge yesterday and can't wait to try and find more time to go back again! The lodge and annex itself is perfect - there isn't a thing that Mark and Jo haven't thought of! As well as the added extras you find about the place, hint - mints on the desk ;-) there are books to read (especially like the one in the toilet cabinet), an umbrella by the door way, amazing natural homemade hand soap, shower gel and wow that welcome afternoon tea was gorgeous! We have an nearly 2 year old who loved lying on the sun loungers, running around the large garden and finding the magic fairy door. We kept the hot tub to ourselves though and that was our evening treat after walking around the Elan Valley in the day. Wine and hot tub - perfect! But as well as being and eco lodge it literally has all the technology you need (wifi, tv, netflix and bluetooth speaker, printer and a laminator) as well as the piano which we loved learning songs to play together :-) Thank you for a lovely time!

“Wonderful 'green' retreat, to do as much or as little as you like!”
Reviewed May 29, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We booked Ty Coed Lodge with the intention of a cycling tour of the region but the Universe had other ideas!

We were delayed by a full day and then we had some communication issues which meant that Mark and Jo were hanging around all day waiting for us to arrive. Despite the inconvenience, they were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

The lodge itself is amazing - beautifully clean and well equipped. It has lots of natural light, as does the annex. The facilities are fantastic - a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and good powerful showers which are an essential start point, The extra special touches were the wood fired hot tub, high quality sun loungers and wonderful garden/grounds.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our cycling weekend didn't go to plan but the lodge was so comfortable that we were able to just relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Mark and Jo are fabulous hosts, providing a welcoming, traditional Welch afternoon tea and a few essentials to get us settled in. They were on hand to greet us and also to wave us goodbye.

We will certainly be back for a return visit in the not too distant future.

“The best holiday ever”
Reviewed April 3, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Had the most wonderful long weekend stay at Ty Coed. The hot tub was perfectly lit up by solar powered fairy lights in the evenings, so relaxing without the noise of a normal jacuzzi. Our 2 small dogs had tonnes of fun running around the large garden. Everything about this place was perfect, great location and caring hosts.

“Perfect pet friendly lodge with fab owners”
Reviewed March 22, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

The lodge is set in a pleasant and semi remote area, but offers fabulous walks around nearby nature reserves and is just 1hr from the beach. The owners are fabulous and very welcoming and were great about accepting our little springer spaniel. The lodge is lovely and offers an Eco friendly hot tub. If your looking for a somewhere with no phone reception (Vodafone doesn't work at the lodge), then this is perfect, although the owners do provide wifi, if you don't want to be completely cut off. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend.
