Dining options: Lunch, Dinner, Reservations
Description: A luxurious menu of modern British cuisine has made the restaurant within the ancient manor house hotel of Wallett's Court in Dover a sumptuous destination in its own right. Robust, inventive flavouring abounds, with accomplished and gutsy cooking producing dishes such as confit of sea bass with sticky port shallots and caramelised noisette potatoes or breast of Gressingham duck with ginger and spring onion rösti. There is a predominantly French wine list, with Sunday lunch and party menu options.

“Overpriced still shocked!!”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

Dreary day decided to venture out and landed at Walletts Court for lunch. Beautiful surroundings , but as we were the only diners, no atmosphere inspite of the staff trying to create some. Food was excellent, lamb was delicious. Only draw back was the price of the drinks! I have never asked how much a glass of wine is in all of my years of dining but at Walletts you need to .Even the non alcoholic lager was expensive .May give this place another visit ,perhaps !!

“Nice place. Restaurant in November 2013 overpriced. Over cheffed!”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Walletts Court ambience is very, very pleasant. Service from staff was excellent. The menu choice in November 2013 was very restricted. Only 5 or so choices for each stage. 2 courses at £35 was way excessive. Left feeling hungry and unhappy.

“Great Value”
Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

Hadheard a lot about Walletts court and never been. Had Sunday lunch with the family (all adults) and had a great meal. Food was excellent value but drinks on the steep side. Would definitely return.

“Dinner”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

Nice dinner very well presented but only potato option on menu was chips. Had to ask if there was an alternative and was then given new potatos.

“Expensive on the Wallett!!!”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

We found Walletts Court by chance en route to St Margarets Bay and stopped for afternoon tea. As it was a Birthday treat we decided on the 'Celebration Afternoon Tea' with champagne, although expensive (£23 each - ouch!) everything was freshly prepared and served on fine bone china. Our table was in the conservatory which overlooked the very pretty garden complete with Tipi, which apparently you can stay in, there is also a spa and rooms situated around a lovely courtyard. The staff were friendly and helpful. Walletts Court is listed in the Doomsday book and dates back to 1067, lots of history and a lovely restored fine historic building, worth a visit for a special occasion.
