Have visited The Bayview many times but this was the first time staying as a guest. The location is excellent, The bedrooms and bathrooms are really clean. The breakfast quality and choice is good. Dinner choice is excellent and fairly priced. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely be back soon.

Stayed here both as a family and as a couple. Great chill out hotel with views over the bay. Family room well equipped and as couple we stayed in a beautiful suite which included a raised seating area at the bay window overlooking the sea and a great bathroom with Jacuzzi.
Def a great hotel for a chillout or romantic getaway!

I stayed here about 10 years ago for several nights and ground it to be a lovely hotel. For a most recent golf trip to Ireland, I stayed here again remembering the wonderful experience. This time though for only one night. Unfortunately I did not have a room with a view of the ocean. If staying longer, I will have demanded that. They accommodated an earlier checkout and breakfast, which was very good and convenient. Unfortunately they do not take American Express, which was an inconvenience, but not the end of the world. This part of Northern Ireland is absolutely gorgeous, and staying in Portballintrae is an excellent central location along the coast. Small, but beautiful little village.

Booked superior rooms at the Bayview for a couple nights break. Hotel is situated on the bay, and our first floor room provided excellent views across the bay. The room was well furnished and whilst we were above the bar/restaurant area where we could hear the evenings entertainment, it provided a comfortable night sleep.

Staff were very friendly and providing good service. Breakfast had some good options with a buffet selection and various cooked options. We dined in the Porthole Restaurant one evening, where on offer was some good choices and a couple of specials. Overall good food, with only one small criticism which was the poached eggs at breakfast - more practise required!

Bar is well furnished and drinks including cocktails were well priced.

Would recommend this hotel.

Dear Guest, thank you for taking time to compose a positive review on TA about your experience at Bayview, we are pleased that you enjoyed the wonderful views from the restaurant and rooms. Sorry about the poached egg being not up to standard, I have spoken to the Chef in charge and he assures me that the junior Chefs will definitely be given more tuition on how to produce a wonderful poached egg,
Kind Regards,
Trevor and the Team @ Bayview Hotel Portballintrae

We stayed at the bayview for just one night, unplanned as we got caught out in the rain(supposed to be camping).

The manager Trevor went out of his way to make sure we had a room and were comfortable - we can't thanks him enough. All of the staff were warm and friendly and the hotel itself has spectacular views straight out onto the wavey sea.

They had live music on in the bar, and a great atmosphere throughout. Breakfast was delicious - the smoked salmon especially - and Trevor came by to check we'd slept well.

Me and my family (cousins and siblings) had such a great stay, far too brief. We can't recommend it more, for families, groups of friends and anyone else wanting to explore this beautiful coastline. Thanks again Trevor.

We only stayed one night in this hotel after playing golf at Royal Portrush and it was the most marvelous experience.

From the moment that we arrived it was an excellent experience. Trevor and his staff could not have been friendlier and welcoming. The views were fabulous and the food second to none.

After dinner there was a live singer/guitarist and all the guests just lapped it up. The craic was amazing.

A large group of us had dinner here in April, service was timely as they were busy that night.
A varied menu so plenty to choose from.Staff were friendly,we had booked tables with ocean view but we didn't get them due to a mixup however we didn't mind as we were having a family dinner and we were all in a great mood. The food was pretty decent, felt sorry for the staff they were so busy.
