The Mash Tun is very popular and when we arrived there was only room for us at the bar. We decided to stay and eat there anyway as the atmosphere at the Mash Tun was great. After a short while a table became free and our meal followed. It was absolutely brilliant. My starter was a portabello mushroom filled with haggis and chorizo topped with cheese to start - sounds unusual but I would highly recommend it.

We were attending the Speyside Festival and managed to get reservations for a couple of meals at the Mash Tun. It is just what pub food should be, great tasting, fast and creative. The soups were fast and hearty and the choices included mushrooms stuffed with Haggis (it was great) and a few wee "drams" from their excellent selection of single malt scotch whisky. The little street it is located on is not well marked but can be found on most GPS systems. the streets are narrow but there is parking in the back and on nearby streets. A "must visit" restaurant in Aberlour.
