The Cardhu is a great place to stay. The owner and his wife have restored this lovely house to its former glory and love sharing it with their guests. This is certainly not a hotel experience. The welcome and services and you feel you are staying in someone's houses which was great. Although there was no menu for supper (everyone gets the same) the food was great. Locally sourced produce and venison from "recently off the hill" was just the ticket!
I would recommend this place to anyone staying on speyside.
Ps the whole experience was topped off with a great selection of complementary single malts!

We stayed for 4 nights in September doing the famous Whisky trail.
We had a beautiful room with everything you could wish for even bath robes!!
The bed was so comfortable and massive! The views from the room were lovely.
Norman and Tina are very helpful and friendly. Nothing seems to much for them if you want something different for breakfast. Just make sure Norman writes it down!!
If you don't want to go out in the evening to eat they do lovely evening meals. They don't serve wine but you can take your own what a great idea!!!
Enjoyed so much we are going back this September!!

We stopped en route north and was pleasantly surprised. In 2012 had only been open a short time. \rooms were spacious and comfortable with good shower. Handly for the local distilleries in Cardhi but even Glenlivet was not a far drive. To eat, we tried for the Mash Tun but it was full - book ahead if you can.

Room Tip: We didn't think to book ahead to eat here - wish we had

We stayed here for one night and both agreed we'd have loved the opportunity to spend another night here and explore the local area further.
Rooms beautifully and tastefully decorated.
Breakfast was brilliant - fresh fruit salad, kippers and brown toast a great way to start the day!
Really enjoyed our time here - one can see why they have just won 'Best B&B in Scotland 2012' Highly recommend!

Room Tip: First room on the left on the first floor landing is a cracker - beautiful views in the morning.

I have spent 2 weekends at the Cardhu Country House and I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is very welcoming; a crisp and comfy bed awaits you, warm towels and delicious food. Each room with its unique scottish touch and sometimes a friendly dog, is a delight after a day out in the spectacular surrounding scenery or visit to a distillery!
