Stayed here overnight 17th August found the staff very friendly and courteous at all times although some confusion when I came to pay seemed that there are new systems in place and not all staff trained to use this will put down to teething probs as it seems like there has been a lot of work put into the business ie the rooms reception areas all looking pristine and almost new cooked breakfast was nice too found the price reasonable too

Had a lovely family lunch at the Aberlour hotel today. The staff were amazing and helped make a special birthday extra special. The food was really good, great choice and freshly cooked. The hotel is really nicely decorated and great place to relax, we will definitely be back!

I would like to start this review by saying that at 60 years of age I have never complained openly in or about any restaurant but the service we received at this hotel was nothing short of a fiasco. The staff including the person I believe to be the manageress had not a clue what they were doing and really didn't care either, they really should not be employed by any restaurant until they are trained by someone who knows what they are doing. I could not even begin to go over the catalogue of errors that took place on the night we were there it would take far too long. The owner has obviously spent a lot of money on this place and I know a lot of local people really want this to be a great success so hopefully someone will take notice of this review and employ staff who know what they are doing. Having said that once our meal did arrive it was fine so no complaints about the food.

Visited here this week and was pleasantly surprised. A recent refurb has made it 100 nicer inside than the last time I was here. It's spacious, nice decorated and clearly had a lot of money spend. Although not huge, the menu had something to cater for all of our needs and, service was quick and food was nicely presented and tasty. Will be back again before too long.

Myself and my partner decided to have dinner in The Aberlour Hotel after hearing about how wonderful it was and how it had improved vastly.Granted there has obviously been a huge amount of money spent on it and on first impressions it was like walking into a different hotel-we had been there on several occasions before and had found it in desperate need of a major makeover-the new owners have obviously spent a lot of time carefully redesigning the hotel and all credit to them. However,im afraid the same positiveness cannot stretch to the food nor the staff! Our food arrived eventually, having had to wait for sometime our order was taken by a young woman who really could not have cared less whether we ate there or not--we were unsure whether she was a waitress, barmaid or may have been management-she was snappy, rude and seemed more interested in what her friends were doing-i say friends but to me they resembled a kindergarten. The food was edible-just-but for what we were served we think it to be very overpriced and certainly not good value for money.Well done to the new owners but i have to say that whilst you employ the staff you do and whilst the local youth club appear to be residents in your bar,im afraid they are not a good advert for your business.

Room Tip: Unable to comment on rooms but from what we could see, there appeared to have been major improvements...

Been in a couple of times for meals now since the refurbishment and what an improvement. Clean and bright well decorated will certainly revisit. Both bar and restaurant menus are varied and would be happy to dine from either. Service was quick and unobtrusive .
