Nice pub, very close to where we live, but its around 7 years since it was refurbished and the furniture is beginning to look very shabby and dirty.

Decent enough pub restaurant, carvery is very good value. They sometimes have an offer and children can eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. I know this isn't at the weekend and think people would need to check it is still on. You can choose a small carvery which is enough for me.

The staff are very friendly and there is a small play area with a climbing frame and swings that is fenced off. It is only about a 4 minute drive from Junction 25 of the M1 so a much better place to stop than a motorway services.

The service was good and staff were helpful and friendly. We had a carvery which was alright but the veg , stuffing and Yorkshire pudding didn't have much taste to it! The atomsphere was good !
