Well other reviewers seem to have had much better food than we had today. We arrived at 12.00 and the pub was quiet but by the time the rest of our party arrived at about 12.20 it was much busier. Five of our group ordered the Sunday Lunch with different meats and we all commented on the fact that the food was hardly even warm and swimming in thin gravy. I also really don't like my vegetables overcooked but the cabbage was raw and the cauliflower nearly so but the carrots were mush! There were supposed to be crispy roast potatoes, I had three tiny, soggy, burnt ones. Yorkshire pudding was disgustingly soft and seemed uncooked. Parsnips and mashed potato were ok but again cold. We were tempted to mention it to the waitress but they seemed very stressed. The service was slow as there obviously was not enough staff on and by 1pm the restaurant was packed.
My son said there was a good selection of beer but very limited selection of drinks for young children.
It's obviously a popular local pub/restaurant as it was heaving, so much so that we had to practically fight our way out but we were extremely disapointed and will never go back there again.
