We had been staying in the area with my six young grandchildren for a family wedding. The day after the wedding we stumbled upon this lovely park. The kids ran around thoroughly enjoying themselves, lovely play areas. The adults enjoyed the brisk wind and fresh air! A lovely place, reckon it must be really good in the summer when the café and splash park are open.

A lovely park with lots of interesting things to see whilst you stroll around it’s massive expanse the “tree trail” is excellent with many unusual trees with their names carefully shown, the Solor Garden with its “planets” and astrolabe. To name but two it has an excellent cafe and super children’s play area with a “splash pad” for the summer months a children’s delight.

lovely park for walking your dog, plenty for kids and splash park in summer.

Every sat there is a park run which is 5k .... run jog or walk it... you will never be last as there is always a back marker.

no judgemental and free.

register at park run for free and print off a bar code to get your times.
