“Hidden gem”
Reviewed August 8, 2014

This museum looks deceptively small but once inside it is a treasure trove of fascinating exhibits and information, not only to visitors with local connections, but also others with an interest in military and aviation history.
There is no admission charge, but donations welcome, as it is run by a hard working group of volunteers.

“First rate attraction full of the Islands Military history.”
Reviewed July 28, 2014

We have been to the Island for the past 7 years and always visit the museum. Became a member 6 years ago and try to do a bit of voluntary work for them.
A great range of military artefacts from the Islands military history is located in half a dozen themed rooms. Located on the edge of the Islands airport it's great to sit and relax in their small garden and watch the planes too. They'll probably even make you a cup of tea.
A visit to the Isle of Man isn't complete without a couple of hours spent here.
Wonderful place, although I am slightly biased....
Although there is no entry fee as such a donation is always welcome and they have a well stocked gift shop.

“Lovely museum to visit, rain or shine”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

This was my second visit to the museum, and this time there is a new outside area to compliment the beautiful weather. The newly created garden commemorates Canadian aviation heroes who died while stationed on the Isle of Man. It's not only a poignant tribute but also a tranquil place to sit, reflect and enjoy the sunshine.
If the weather is unkind, the inside is crammed with amazing exhibits, thoughtfully displayed to tell the stories of the people involved in aviation on the island through the years. It really can appeal to anyone, from children to aviation and military enthusiasts.
Being adjacent to the airport, it's easy to find and great for watching the planes come and go. Knowledgeable and dedicated staff are friendly, approachable and happy to answer any questions.
