Found this place after visiting the nearby lighthouse. It is located right on the beach so you have a wonderful view. Service was absolutely great! Very friendly staff, checked on us often and was professional from start to finish. As far as food, all I can say is deep fried Monte Cristo - yum! Would recommend this to anyone wanting a casual atmosphere, with great views, food and service. We will definitely be going there again soon. Just an FYI, if the restaurant parking lot is full, you can park in the beach public parking across the street, plenty of parking and its free.

Went here for lunch a couple of weeks ago, sat outside. It wasn't a great experience. The owners/management seem content to rely on their awesome location and not to bother too much with the quality of service. To me, the food is overpriced. Perhaps that's due to the fact that a lot of customers are tourists. It was a long wait for our server, the table was dirty, it had ants on it and the menu I was given had ketchup all over it. When I mentioned this to our server he just casually said "sorry" and never offered a clean one. I ordered a fish salad and it was average at best. I won't be back. Not a good lunch experience.

We went to the Restaurant mid-morning for breakfast. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere was great. You had some choices of seating (outside on deck; inside with ocean view or inside without view or at the bar). There is some racing history displayed which is interesting. We had a variety of choices for breakfast which was well-prepared and the portions were very large. The prices were better than expected with ocean location. Food was good and we were never made to feel rushed. That is an enjoyable part of eating there, you feel comfortable and the waiter kept our coffee cups and water glasses filled. He made fresh decaf for a member of the party.

You could spend half a day just looking at all the pictures and memorabilia associated with the early days of racing on the beach, before Daytona International Speedway was built. To racing buffs like me and the 11 others in our party, this was very enjoyable. They also have cool, race-related and period-perfect clothing for sale. The food was above average for a bar, the service was good and the prices were OK. Other than the fact it was incredibly noisy, the only down side of the entire experience was that they refuse to enforce Florida's NO SMOKING law, even though the deck was enclosed, due to the cold, rainy weather the night we were there. When we brought this to the attention of our server, she mumbled something about how normally the deck would be open, so people just "assumed" it was OK. But, when I pointed out that most of the smokers were INSIDE and no where near the so-called deck, she was obviously uncomfortable and scurried off to another table. My wife is deathly allergic to smoke and it is imperative that she avoid it. Fortunately, by the time it became too big a problem, we were finished eating and left. Was North Turn terrible? No. Was it great? No. Will we be back? Given the circumstances, probably not.
