We stayed at Murphys Hotel as we were travelling from Cork to Donegal for a wedding and decided we couldn't make the full journey in one go. We were very late arriving (11.15pm) so didn't see much other than the room the first night! The room was clean, if a bit dated decor-wise. The remote was missing for the tv but this is so common in hotels now cos of light-fingered guests who steal them and as we were only there for the one night we didn't really mind. The breakfast was gorgeous, freshly cooked and tasted great.

Must admit, i wasnt sure what to expect looking from the outside, however.. there was free parking at the back, and we had a lovely, clean basic room, a great bar and bar man, and a big filling breakfast. Great all round.

Party of 9 stayed last week. Warm family run hotel. All staff were very helpful. My bed was super comfortable and breakfast was excellent, especially the home baked soda bread. Happy to recommend. Thanks to Paul and Barry.

We stayed at Murphy's Hotel two weeks ago and had a wonderful stay. We had a large clean family room for a family of four and it was perfect for us. We ate dinner at the restaurant, we were a party of 14, and everyone loved their meal. Breakfast every morning included fresh scones/bread, yogurt, fruit and eggs. Murphy's has the best breakfast in all of Ireland and we stayed at Ashford Castle too!

A group of 21 from East Antrim Ramblers stayed at Murphys Hotel on a walking weekend over Easter 2013. The service we received was excellent and on arrival Paul the manager offered the group tea/coffee and scones, this was really appreciated as we all arrvied at different times, the group mentioned this was a really nice gesture. As for Dinner and Breakfast the food was exccellent with plenty of choice. The rooms were large and very comfortable providing all with a good nights sleep. Paul also took orders for sandwiches at breakfast which were freshly prepared for us for our days walking, on our daily return Paul was there to welcome us back and the group enjoyed a drink (lovely guinness and hot whiskeys) in the bar before getting ready for another surperb dinner. I would have no hesitation in recommending Murphys Hotel and will be back to stay in a few years time when the group will be walking in Sligo. A big thankyou to Paul and all the staff at Murphys for making our stay very enjoyable.
