We stayed at this truly beautiful B&B earlier this month for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. Apart from the house and its amazing surroundings the hospitality shown to us during our stay was second to none. Patricia and Roger are lovely warm friendly people who make the experience of staying here such an enjoyable one. The rooms are gorgeous and the breakfast choice incredible. I am hooked and can't wait to stay there again.

We highly recommend to stay at this amazing place. Everything is perfect.Patricia is the best hostess we have ever met.The house and the erea are amazing/the family is lovely aspsialy patricia's husband. Our room was extremely large (even for 3) with an also very large bathroom and had lots of small extras. At breakfast Roger gave us some information about Ireland and it was a pleasure to talk to them all the time. Tubercurry is a good base for longer stays to visit Sligo and Connemara . Thanks to Pat and Roger once again from Israel!

We had chosen this particular B&B from its outstanding reviews on Trip Advisor. Even though it was a little more expensive than other B&Bs in the area, we decided to chance it, since the photos looked stunning and we have never been steered wrong by Trip Advisor.

The house is on the edge of the town, with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The house is an imposing stone manor, with beautifully manicured grounds and an adjacent farm (that they also own). The interior of the house is breathtaking, with marble finishings, claw-footed tubs, and spacious bedrooms and common areas.

Patricia is a consummate host, with a ‘full Irish’ breakfast that surpassed the many, many (many!) Irish breakfasts that we have had in our numerous trips to the Emerald Isle. The crowning glory of her breakfasts is her homemade soda bread, unlike any other we have ever eaten.

More than anything else is how wonderfully Pat treated us. We travelled with our then four year old son, and Pat went over and above to make sure that he was comfortable and happy. She gave us full use of the backyard, including a small soccer pitch and basketball net, and even brought down her (older) children’s old toys so our son would have different playthings to keep him entertained during our time there.

We cannot say enough about this wonderful B&B. For the few extra Euro, Pat and Roger have gone to great lengths to ensure that a stay at Coill Dara is indeed a wonderful and memorable one.

Patricia's house is absolutely stunning. She put a lot of thought into the design and the fittings also are to an extremely high standard. The room was faultless and the breakfast was scrumptious. Although it may not be on the most travelled track, I would highly recommend staying here than anywhere else. I could find nothing to fault, would definitely both stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

We have had a lot of nice and friendly B&Bs on our 2 weeks through Ireland - but the Coill Dara House was by far the best.
The house itself ist great: a modern building in manor house style. Our room was extremely large (even for 3) with an also very large bathroom and had lots of small extras.
We were led to the wonderful wintergarden to get tea and cookies (excellent ones!) and Pat did everything to make our (short) stay comfortable.
At breakfast (with menu and delicious!), Roger gave me some ideas for the prehistoric sites nearby and it was a pleasure to talk to them all the time.
Tubercurry is a good base for longer stays to visit Sligo and Connemara and the Knock airport and the prices are really fair for the comfort you get
Thanks to Pat and Roger once again from Austria!

Coill Dara's owners, Patricia and Roger McCarrick, gave us a great welcome when we arrived after our long journey. We had tea and lemon cake in their lovely garden room, from which you can see the Ox Mountains to the north, and Croagh Patrick 65 km away to the west. We spent a week at this delightfully appointed house in Tubbercurry where the breakfasts are sumptuous, served at the large dining room table. We enjoyed chatting to the other guests, who had come from far and wide, and we look forward very much to returning soon.
