We went there on our last evening because of the good reviews. it has only four tables and without tripadvisor we wouldn't have found it.we weren't disappointet.we were the only guests.the chef was very friendly and explained everything to us.Our menu was delicous and we loved every course.especially “fondant chocolate“was the best we had in our live.if it haven't been our last day,we would have retourned. It was not cheap but absolutely worth it's price. Thanks for everything.

Our group of 4 had an amazing dinner and experience at Le Willkat. The setting is unique. You are dining on a beautiful second story patio of Chef Willy's home on a residential street. There are only a few tables and Chef Willy does everything from greeting you, presenting the menu, taking orders, and of course cooking his masterpieces and serving them. One person in our group speaks some French and we were able to get by just fine. I am a total foodie and enjoyed the entire experience. Even the one pescatarian in our group very much enjoyed the dinner. The menu is limited but all of the dishes we had were flavorful, well presented, and just delicious. The duck was among the best I have ever had.

After dinner we loved the opportunity to sip custom made rum and just sit and talk with Chef Willy. He has worked in restaurants all over the world and is a very warm, gracious, and interesting gentleman. If you are looking for a very special and unique dining experience while in Martinique, you should absolutely visit Le Willkat. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance.

This place made me rethink all of the 5 star ratings I have ever given on Tripadvisor. I don't think it belongs in the same category as other places I have rated as 5 stars, and I truly and honestly think there should be some exception made for some places that warrant 6 stars. Maybe you need to write a special request letter, maybe you need to make a video pleading your case ... I don't know but this is one of the best 5 places I have ever eaten anywhere.

I agree with the comparisons to restaurants in Paris, saying this is world class cuisine that deserves two Michelin Stars. I get how the vegetarian didn't like it, and I get how you may not like that there isn't someone around to fill your water ... but that's like going to the Cirque du Soleil and being mad that they didn't play music from Abba and there were no dancing bears. FYI every single thing on the menu except the pear dessert was gluten free.

This is a one man show - he is your host, chef, waiter and really the only person in the "restaurant" which is some tables set up on the porch of his apartment. He makes incredibly complex, exquisite french cuisine with local ingredients. You can't have this food anywhere else. Yes I said it. It is that special and that unique.

Bravo Willy! Merci beaucoup et j'espere te revoir!

Le Willkat (named after the owners I believe) is this fantastic little restaurant that I believe can be very easily overlooked. That would be unfortunate because this was THE best restaurant/meal that we encountered while here on the island. Located by Sainte Luce, this restaurant is located on the balcony of someone's home so if you're driving through a residential area don't freak out!

First, make your reservation (and you definitely should make a reservation since there are only 2-3 tables... and I don't believe he'd take you without a reservation). How would one describe the food? It's definitely French based but with a lot of the local ingredients particularly highlighting the seafood. While the menu isn't long (3 items per course), each dish is one to make you sit and think "how have I never tasted something so fine before?" Luckily we were eating with friends so we got a chance to try all the dishes. For appetizers we had a veloute (cold greens soup), fish soup (unbelievably amazing), and curried scallops. For the main course, we had pork, fish of the day (a white fish) and the duck. Each of them stunning and cooked to perfection. Imagine the best food you've ever had and take that one step higher. Desserts were incredible as well so we got them all! Lava cake, creme brule and a pear tart which were not only pleasing to the palate but to the eye as well.

They had a beautiful selection of wines and while French is the preferred language, there was a table next to us that didn't speak much French (only English) and they got by just fine. The chef/waiter was pleasant, helpful and extremely friendly. At the end of the dinner, he sipped some rum with us and we had some great conversation. This is a MUST try here in Martinique. Please please please don't miss this opportunity. I'm normally a yelp rater and don't generally go into too much detail on tripadvisor but I feel that I had to do my duty and represent this place accurately. Remember that he only takes Euros. No cards or checks so bring enough cash. For 2 people and a bottle of wine you shouldn't have to spend more than 150 euros.

I am a foodie. Traveled the world! The food is absolutely fantastic! I would give it a Michelan 2 Star. I have been twice. We had the peA soup with the sorbet for an appetizer- I am still thinking about it. The duck is tender with a nutmeg type sauce he calls typical. The shrimp is the best I have ever had. Again tender just the right amount of sauce. We had all the deserts. Yum.

Highly recommended !
