Recently had a short skiing break - stayed at La Bergerie in Les Carroz - lovely b&b very well appointed. Friendly helpful hosts, highly recommended. Free ski bus stops outside, only ten minutes to the slopes. Les Carroz is a Pretty alpine village only an hour from Geneva airport.

Claude is such a nice guy that you really feel at home. I have been coming back each year since I discovered the place. The place is close to the center so you can walk to the shops and restaurants. The station bus stop to the ski-lifts is about 50 m away. You can ask Claude for any advice about the area, sights and tips on skiing conditions. As a photographer he can direct you to the most beautiful places and as a skier he has slid everywhere in the area.

Claude is the owner of the place and he is master in making you feel at home. He even organised drinks at the evening of arrival with other guests (however we missed it since we did not give him a call and went out for a late afternoon ski and dinner. So please, let him know your time of arrival to welcome you!)

The room was nice, as well as the twin bed (allthough the pillows are quite stiff. Depends on personal prerefence..)

Breakfast is great: nice baguettes and croissants with local cheese, confitures etc. Good for a long day of skiing :-)

We had sunny weather and very good snow conditions. With three skilifts you are in Flaine. Endless possibilities in Grand Massive. Claude recommended three nice restaurants on the mountains. Very good advice! Otherwise you end up in those large canteens.

Les Carroz is small and cosy. Not something for people in search of vibrant Apres-Ski. The restaurants however are nice. Again Claude can advice and book for you!

Alltogether, great hospitality, charming place!

Claude and Pauline were very attentive hosts. Claude gets involved in every level of planning in the charming little village of Les Carroz. He is a very generous and knowledgeable guide to the area - happy to come skiing with you or transport you anywhere in the region.
This is a true B&B, so anyone expecting the anonymity and privacy of a hotel would be best to look elsewhere. For those that like the cosiness of a "family" environment, La Bergerie is perfect.

We had a lovely stay over the New Year. Claude you were so helpful we hadn't booked places to eat, and straight away you booked for us, and each time we had a fantastic meal.
The B & B was lovely home from home, nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was very relaxed. Thank you for your hospitality, very much appreciated.
