“Fantastic 14 days”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

What a great place, from the moment our transfer arrived we were treated like royalty. Reception was friendly, with bags taken to our room. Porter ensured we had everything and told us the locations of local mini markets etc. The location is right on the beach, with a pleasant stroll to Perissa only 30 mins away (4yr old pace).

The restaurant food was a good offer and every member of staff could not do enough for us. We loved the Island and grabbed a car for a few days, but the Santo Miramare made a great holiday FANTASTIC. We will be back

Had a very blissful week here at the end of June.
This is a perfect location if you just want to have a relaxing week away from it all and don't need to be entertained every minute of the day.
The ground floor room we had was lovely and cool and quite spacious, certainly more than enough room for 2. It was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom.
The grounds of the hotel had a lovely open feel and because there are several pools it never felt like the sunbeds were on top of each other.
There was a good choice of food for dinner and the menu changed each day. The menu for lunch at the pool bar was fairly limited but what they did have was always very tasty.
All the staff were friendly and we never had any complaints about anyone or anything.
The location of the hotel is ideal, it was very quiet and right next to the beach.

Would definitely recommend it.

We stayed here for 3 nights last month and had no complaints! The staff were very professional and friendly. The hotel is more of a complex -very spacious with two good sized pools and smaller one for children. Excellent service at the pool bar and in the restaurant.

Our room was also quite spacious and very clean. We had a room on the first floor with a balcony (which was a shared balcony). There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which one would expect from a 4 star establishment, however one call to reception resolved that as a kettle/cups arrived promptly!

We dined in the restaurant one evening for a very reasonable price (around 20 euros pp). The buffet meal was ok, but nothing special (you get what you pay for). The outside dining area was a pleasant place to sit.

The hotel enjoys a fabulous location right near the beach. The gates open out onto a narrow beach road dotted with bars and tavernas. Turn right for some relaxing bars and tavernas including a fabulous fish restaurant, turn left for a more livelier evening if that's what you want.

Would we stay here again? Although we had no complaints about the hotel and service we probably would not stay here again as it is more suitable for families with children rather than a romantic getaway!

Room Tip: Some of the rooms on the first floor have shared balconies so no privacy.

Just spent two weeks at this amazing hotel as our son was getting married on the island of Santorini. Fabulous hotel, amazing staff, nothing is too much for them, very helpful and very friendly. A special mention to Justin and Fay
And the rest of the pool bar staff. The breakfast/meals were great. Exceptionally clean, rooms excellent, clean towels, bedding daily . Can't recommend enough. Will certainly return.

We have just returned from two weeks at Santo Miramare resort, the rooms were spacious and clean, the communal areas were clean and the staff were friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Room Tip: We stayed on a ground floor room which was large and private, great night sleep.

My husband and I spent three nights here and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly, the room was spacious and clean and the other accommodations (pools, breakfast buffet) were great. The bartender at the pool bar was very friendly and fun as well as knowledgeable. The front desk staff made it very easy to plan excursion we rented motos in five minutes! While there are great restaurants to walk to on the beach for dinner, I highly recommend eating at the hotel one night - they serve traditional Greek food as if your grandma had just invited you over! Delicious! My only negative which probably doesn't matter to most people on vacation is that the gym was very small with only a treadmill and only a few weights. Overall, great location on the beach with a nice pool, friendly staff, good food and very relaxing atmosphere!

We spent a week at the Santo Miramare in June. The hotel complex is attractively designed with several smallish buildings which are well spread out and surround the pool areas. A very spacious reception is located in the main building and staff there were extremely efficient and friendly. There are three pools (one big, one medium and one small shallow one for children) plus a Jacuzzi pool. There were always plenty of sunbeds available and again these were well spread out. Pool towels are available and these can be changed every other day. There is a pool bar open during the day / evening for light snacks, drinks, ice-creams, etc. and again the staff here were very friendly and professional. There are also free sunbeds available on the hotel’s stretch of beach (just across a small road) but we didn’t use them as the pool area was so nice.

We stayed in a standard room which was comfortable although I think the bathroom accessories could be a bit better (e.g. towels were a bit thin and the toiletries a bit cheap). This is probably me being a bit picky but the hotel is a four star. Also you’re expected to use the dreaded toilet bin but the lid didn’t quite close properly on ours!! The room had a TV, fridge, free safe, and free air conditioning (which was the quietest we’ve ever come across). We were on the ground floor and had a small terrace with table / chairs. The cleaning staff kept the room spotlessly clean.

The restaurant is located in a separate building at the beach end of the complex. We only stayed on a bed and breakfast basis so can’t comment on the evening meals. However the breakfasts were good with the usual breads, cold meats & cheeses, cooked options, cereals, fruits, yogurts, etc. You helped yourself to tea but the waiting staff walked around refilling coffee cups as many times as you wanted. The waiting staff were also very professional and friendly.

As you’ve probably guessed, each and every member of staff we encountered was so friendly and so helpful so a big thank you to them all.

The hotel is located on the beach road to Perissa and there are lots of restaurants to choose from whether you turn left (towards Perissa) or right. We had super meals in Savvas "Popeye" and The Nets (turning right) and Kouzina, Meet Me Meat Bar and Charlina (turning left) where again everyone was so friendly and efficient.

There is a bus stop very close to the hotel but this has a limited service to Fira. The main bus stop is about a ten minute walk away with more frequent services to Fira. The times didn’t quite work out when we wanted to go so reception ordered a taxi for us which cost €20. There was such a ‘bun fight’ at Fira bus station that we ended up sharing a taxi back too. The nearest ATM is about a 20 minute walk outside the Co-Op supermarket (who will drive you both ways if you prefer). There is a bakery next to the Co-Op called Santa Irini and it's worth the walk just to go and buy snacks and fresh orange juice.

So, all in all it was a lovely holiday, made even better by every single person who served us, waited on us, and generally went out of their way to be as helpful as possible.
