“Simply Gorgeous!”
Reviewed January 29, 2012

We stayed at Dry Paddocks for 2 nights in January and were thrilled with the experience. The location, the village, the warmth of the hospitality, the "extras" and, of course, the incredible food all surpassed our expectations. We would strongly recommend Dry Paddocks to couples/groups looking for a luxury getaway. It was great having so many quality wineries close by! My husband was over the moon with the "breakfast box" - bacon and sausages are the way to a man's heart! Thanks Neil and Gillian! And we loved Baxter :)

We own/operate a touring company and visited with Dry Paddocks to confirm our thoughts that it would be suitable for our future guests. What an amazing find!!

Gillian and Neil (the owners/hosts of Dry Paddocks) were lovely, warm and welcoming and whilst we knew they were nearby if we needed them, they gave us complete privacy.

Everything we could have asked for and more was available for our use. We chose to have the option of a dinner prepared by Gillian on the night of our arrival and we were so pleased we did. Everything was so beautifully prepared and presented - we would certainly recommend this to other guests.

Breakfast was a real treat as well - free range eggs, superb local bacon and pork sausages with freshly made artisan bread. That was all eaten after we had devoured some delicious museli, yoghurt, rhubarb and raspberries.

I won't even mention all the other extras that came with our evening dinner or breakfast but will just say we couldn't fit another thing in.

We spent 2 nights at Dry Paddocks and sincerely wish that we had time to stay 2 more. We left feeling so relaxed I felt like we had stayed a week. I can't wait to go back and take our guests to meet Gillian and Neil. Perfect country bliss - just how we think luxury should be.

Thank you for everything - see you soon :-)

We stayed here on our wedding night. This place is truly amazing. All of the little details are sorted, it's beautifully appointed and so very comfortable. Having a whole house to yourself and the little breakfast pack in the morning was an added treat! Very highly reccomended.

I took my husband here for an anniversary weekend. Although located in the country it is close to Christchurch, Hanmer Springs and 5 minutes to some very nice restaurants and wineries. The "cottage" is beautifully furnished with top quality finishings. We were provided with pantry provisions and a breakfast box, which included the most sumptuous home made treats. There was so much food, we couldn't eat it all, even over three days! The setting is beautiful, quiet and private. This place looks and feels exactly like its website photos. I would recommend it to anybody.
