From the street Adriatico has the look and feel of a modern Italian establishment. There are crisp lines, marble surfaces and minimal artwork. Yet, walk past the center bar area into the back garden and it becomes a lush tropical oasis with a central floor and paths off into private foliage surrounded tables. One path to each table provides a secluded, romantic, tropical ambiance. Our waiter, Francesco, provided the best and friendliest service in Bucerias. He truly knew the menu and made suggestions based on the ingredients (that were the freshest) from the kitchen. When we asked about a certain preparation of a dish, he not only knew about it; but in detail. And even went the extra mile to write the recipe with explicit instructions. The dish I enjoyed most was the spaghetti carbonara - perfectly al dente.

We frequented this restaurant many times in our 2 months in Mexico. Sometimes for breakfast and many times for dinner and lots of times just to sit and enjoy some fine Italian wine and chat with the patrons.
The food is very good, pizza in a wood-fired oven, fish, seafood and even osso bucco.
Massimo is the owner of the restaurant and is very involved on a nightly basis with the running of the place.
Live music with various bands make for a wonderful dining experience.
Wait staff are very good especially Francisco who looks like Al Pachino and speaks excellent English.
Nestor is a bartender a couple of nights a week and is very entertaining and easy to chat with.
All in all a very nice to frequent. We will be back in the fall.

The curb appeal of this restaurant is fantastic. And inside doesn't disappoint. Lovely design, very romantic for a night out. Unfortunately the food will disappoint. While the ingredients and quantities are perfect, the freshness is lacking. We had a Caprese salad with tomatoes that were slightly soft. The bread basket tasted like it was day old, and the olive oil and balsamic were served in a small bowl, making it impossible to get the balsamic to stick to the bread.

The staff are friendly and are above average compared to other establishments in the area. More attention needs to be paid to the kitchen. This place could easily be the number 1 restaurant in Bucerias if they focused on fresh food more.

Just had a meal there, we have been coming since the day the restaurant opened and always enjoyed our food. Tonight was a big disappointment. The Caesar salad was one of our staples in the past but today it was just shredded lettuce floating on a plate of dressing. Our table ordered a risotto, spaghetti carbonara and spinach ravioli. All three dished were over salted and the ravioli was inedible. Hopefully it was just an off night but we have no desire to go back again anytime soon.

The food is not bad --just so, so but the owner and management are the terrible!! There is nothing pleasant about trying to have a relaxing evening when the owner is yelling and threatening his staff. Tried it twice and it was the same thing!!
