We had pasta and a pizza to takeaway. It was the small pizza and yet there was enough to share with the grandkids. The pasta was one of the best I've had

“Pizza perfection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2014

If you love pizza made the authentic way with great quality ingredients, don't forget to visit The Milk Churn. Owner Jo welcomed us in and as we were a big group she quickly helped reorganise tables and get us all comfortable. Aside from excellent food it's the little things that make a big difference.....ice cold glasses and a bottle of water on the tables....immaculately clean and tidy venue and very good service. The pizzas are very generous but we couldn't resist all digging into the great selection of ice creams.

Tip - spicy meat pizza is a triumph...follow with some cooling ginger snap ice cream....and the kids just loved the milk shakes.

This new business and it's friendly owner is well worth supporting. An asset to the bustling little town of Carterton.

“Pizza / Calzone or Ice-Cream!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2014

This is a fabulous place to order any of these things and the owner Jo once offered me lemon meringue tarts as she was pulling them out of the oven. I DID buy one as my mum used to make these and I relived some wonderful childhood memories as I sunk my teeth into them. Their pizzas and calzones are really generous for the size and price and we are now addicted to their coffee!

“Pizza, ice-cream and more”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

The Milk Churn is a newly-opened restaurant offering a great range of tasty pizzas to eat in or takeaway. Also on sale are ice-creams, good coffee and hot chocolate.
They also offer some cheap weekly specials if you're on a budget. When we were there, it was Grab and Go Pizza slices with coffee or tea for only 8NZ dollars.
But what makes the Milk Churn really worth a visit is the welcoming atmosphere.
It's run by Josephine, a friendly Fijian who brings a touch of the warmth of the Pacific islands to the farming community of Carterton. She seems to be always smiling and happy.
Well worth dropping in - we made a return visit just to say hi.
