We liked Maison Carrel so much that we planned our ski route each day to include it! The range and quality of food is excellent - including delicious salads, polenta dishes, Valdostana specialities and great hot chocolate. Service is friendly and welcoming and the place has a happy buzz of tired skiers eating good food. It gets extremely busy between 12.30 and 1.30 so if you don't book, it's advisable to avoid these times. Absolutely the best place on the slopes in La Thuile to eat. You may wonder why so many people mention the toilets - but when most of the facilities for ladies are 'shower tray' style, these were very welcome - super clean and on the same level as the restaurant!
