“New Years Eve 2012”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

Booked this restaurant for New Years Eve 2012 and had a great time. The restaurant building itself is very nice inside - a stone vaulted ceiling makes the place look cosy and traditional. The New Years Eve menu consisted of 9 courses and we thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Good choice of local wines which were quite good and very affordable. Excellent friendly service. Free champagne at midnight was a nice surprise. Could not fault this place at all. There is also a Pizzeria called Le Dahu in the basement beneath the Coppapan - we tried this on another evening and found it to be equally good. Don't just turn up and hope to get a table (we witnesed lots of tourists turned away because the place is so busy) - you really do need to book.

“Limited Menu”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

A nice setting and atmosphere, however you need to pre book the "speciality" meals to get something tasty, otherwise you end up stuck with a very limited and poor choice on the regular menu. Small portions and high prices are also an issue. For those in the know, this is a very nice restaurant but very difficult for newcomers. Table booking is therefore essential due to it being quite a small restaurant and the menu issues.

“December lunchtime visit”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Food very nice, reasonable choice on menu, ate in the restaurant side, there is a pizziera option. Risotto and pasta options were value for money and service very efficient. Nice setting, worth the 5 minute walk up from the Planibel.

“Excellent atmosphere”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

We booked the restaurant for our Christmas dinner. They made an effort and presented us with a wonderful meal - bruchetta, lasagne, christmas dinner - turkey, roast potatoes, brussel sprouts etc.., wonderful dessert, coffee and a glass of wine for £20. Be careful with your wine selection. The staff were friendly and the overall ambience was first class.

“Very good fixed price set menus with wine!”
Reviewed April 10, 2012

We went there having seen it highlighted on the piste map. It is slightly set back across a carpark from bottom of La Thuile main cable car station but worth the walk in ski boots! We had the fixed price menu which I think was around 20 Euros. We had a charcuterie meat and cheese starter with bruschetta. Then we had a selection of 3 pasta dishes (this course alone would be enough food!), a glass of house wine, a home made sweet, coffee and complimentary glass of Limenchello! We staggered out after nearly 2 hours very happy skiers. There is also a pizzeria called Le Dahu in the basement only open in the evenings.
