The motel owner recommended this place, and he was right. The owners of the Riverside are friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent.

Pleasantly surprised with this cafe. We sat outside under shading as it was such a hot day. We had a lovely lunch, with good service.

The Riverside was recommended by the owners of the B&B where we stayed, and we understand why. We had a very nice meal (see photos).

Stopped in here on a "Big Boy's Roadtrip Adventure " wth my brother and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. From the outside it just looked like another Pub/Restuarant by the river but the food was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the Seafood Chowder and what came out was a complete surprise. Instead of the chowder being in a bowl like a thick soup it came as a Seafood mix in a round bread loaf. The loaf was about the size of a bread plate round and about 3-4 inches high and hollowed out in the middle with the chowder mix and sauce poured in. Lots of prawns.scallops with roe on, pieces of fish, shrimp all toped with 4 Greenlip mussels in shell sticking out the top...Oh so YUMM. My brother had a Chicken salad which came out in a very large bowl/dish with mixed lettuce and 2 sliced chicken breasts very moist covered with a mild lemon and spice drizzle....VERY YUMM. Didn't have to wait long to have our order taken and on the table. Had acouple of drinks and no room for dessert and the bill was considerably less than I thought it would be. An Ozzy guy they call Dingo owns this place and he's quite a character. He made us feel very welcome and the wait staff were happy, relaxed, friendly and willing to please. Excellent food, seving size, experience at this restuarant.

We weren't sure what to expect as the lodge looks a little run down. But, the food was absolutely excellent, the staff really friendly. Nice location by the river.
