“Casual, buzzy atmosphere ”
Reviewed August 9, 2014 via mobile

Husband and I decided to give this place a try on a Friday night, so pleased we did because we found out that it closes on a Saturday night (in the winter).
The place was really busy but they managed to squeeze us in. We ordered our wine and then perused the tapas menu. Great selection and the food that came out was tasty and generous . Particularly liked the fish sliders, they are a must.
Don't overlook El Barrio, it's definitely worth a visit.

“Absolutely superb lunch at a reasonable price”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

We visited El Barrio again but had not tried their Carrot and Ginger soup, or Vege dish with spinach, haloumi, red peppers, ... (breakfast menu available lunchtime). Added in bacon to the vege stack. Both were absolutely superb, and at $12 for the soup and $18 + $3 for the vege dish, excellent value.

“Fast and delicious ”
Reviewed April 25, 2014 via mobile

Breakfast for 5 including hot drinks, 2x eggs benedict with salmon, 2x eggs benedict with bacon, 1x macadamia muesli (house made) and 1x ciabatta toast. Was delivered with speed, piping hot and absolutely delicious. What more could you want? Seemed like good value to me :)

“Well, it had potential...”
Reviewed March 14, 2014

The food was very tasty. Not the best bang for your buck size-wise, but it was very delicious!
Tables are awkwardly set up, making it a bit hard to walk around the place.
The real deal breaker with this place was the sour service we received. Yes, we may not be locals, but that doesn't change the fact that we should be treated the same as all of the regulars. The older blonde lady really needs to get her attitude in check! We would have come again if we didn't feel the cold shoulder from her. Bummer.

“Great place for brunch”
Reviewed February 22, 2014

Glad we found this place, its a little behind the main street. Not as busy as the other main street cafe's which was a bonus for us, the brunch menu was generous and well priced. My wife had the vegie breakfast which she loved, and I think mine was a Mexican breakfast, what ever it was it was very delicious. Our coffees were good, staff pleasant, could have been a little more attentive considering they weren't run off their feet, but however pleasant.
