Definitely the place to stay in Whangamata. A beautiful house with great facilities and wonderful views to the sea. Kathryn and Peter are the most perfect hosts, with nothing to much trouble for their guests. We were made to feel very welcome indeed. In our room were homemade very delicious biscuits, chocolates and port. We were served a fantastic breakfast. We would not hesitate to visit Pacific View again and hope to do so in the future.

Pacific View Bed & Breakfast is wonderful.
The view is fabulous and Kathryn and Peter are great. We felt we were leaving friends
when we left their home.

We stayed at Pacific View on our last night in New Zealand and we could hardly have chosen a better place. On arrival we were greeted like old friends by our hosts Kathryn and Peter and welcomed into their home. The name described the house perfectly with a breathtaking view over the town and out to sea. Our room was super with crisp linen and a comfortable bed that ensured a good nights rest before the long journey back to the UK. Being invited to join our hosts and their friends for an after dinner drink rounded our stay off perfectly. A 5 star experience. If you want somewhere to stay in this area do not look any further - but book early as its reputation will surely spread!

As we approached Whangamata there was no question which house was the Pacific View. What an appropo name for this B&B. Kathryn and Peter were the greatest hosts you could ask for. We arrived late afternoon after making numerous stops from Auckland along the way. We couldn't believe the magnificient view! After they helped unload us, they showed us our room which was beautifully decorated and included many amenities including a carafe of wine, chocolates, and cookies. Then we were invited for wine, crackers, and pate on their balcony with a view of the Pacific that was awesome. They introduced us to the other couple and asked what our dinners plans were. We decided to go into town down the hill and they suggested their two favorites, one of which we tried and it was great. When we got back after dark they were still up and offered us tea or coffee before we retired, which we accepted. They asked us when we wanted breakfast and we said 8:30 or so. It was quite a spread including juice, cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee or tea followed by eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and jam. We certainly did not leave there hungry, plus we got to eat out on the balcony with that "Pacific View." Before we left our hosts suggested several places to stop along the way so that we could take a different route back to Auckland. Kathryn and Peter have set the bar so high at their home that no other B&B can match it in our eyes.

Our hosts made us very welcome, they have the most beautiful Bed & Breakfast. It is situated way above the town and has truly spectacular views over the coast .

Our room was their premier room and well worth the extra we paid, it was very well appointed with complimentary biscuits, chocolates and even port! The views were spectacular. The en-suite was luxurious, it was just perfect for us.

The continental breakfast was quite substantial with a homely touch, it was very nice.

Although a way out of the town, definitely need a car, it was easy to find and had off-street parking and a lift to all floors, great for getting the luggage to the room. Without a car may be a bit more challenging. The town has all the amenities, shops, restaurants, etc. just a very nice place to visit

We would certainly recommend a stay at the Pacific View B&B

The service was excellent, Kathryn and Peter were delightful. The room was spotless and modern, the bed was very comfortable and the view was amazing. We were made to feel very welcome and were even loaned the use of their bikes to ride around town. Breakfast on the terrace was a great start to the day and a lovely memory to leave Whangamata with.
