Husband & I were racing at the Tauranga Half & camped with our 8yr old for 3 nights. Lovely tent site near the kids play area…infact near everything we needed (beach, kitchen/social area, showers etc). Maybe people without kids might find that this time of year the site is too full of children & tad noisy till about 10pm, but was just right for us. Would definitely stay here again, & their units look very flash!

Room Tip: Trees are great for shade when camping but if you're into lie ins be aware of the dawn chorus :)

It’s awesome to hear that you and your family enjoyed their stay here at Papamoa Beach. The area you stayed in is excellent for families as it is close to facilities, especially the playground! The trees close by is a great place to relax out of the sun but still keep an eye on the kids. We look forward to seeing you back soon.

We chose this camp for an early Christmas get together with our kids and grandkids and other relis and could not have chosen better. Our unit stood on the edge of a large grass problem area perfect for the kids to play cricket etc and with fantastic views out to sea. There is a large playground with awesome giant trampolines, and the camp hire out 4 wheel pedal carts that the grandkids loved. The holiday units are clean and comfortable, with a small kitchen and dining area. There was a small fridge, microwave, toaster, jug. An oven would have been nice but it was adequate and it's amazing what you can cook using an electric frypan and microwave. It was a lovely holiday and enjoyed by all - so much that the family are talking about getting together again there soon.
The only problem we had was when we arrived - a note had been left in an envelope for us but our unit had been locked with the key inside! We eventually called the after hours security who called someone to let us in.

I attended a venue at the Biyou next door and a group of us spent the night. We rented 5 units.
My husband and I had a 2 bedroom ( 1 double bed and 2 singles in the next room) A separate entrance to the second bedroom and the main room faced the beautiful beach, large windows and sliding door out to the porch, which has a table and chairs. The unit had a small kitchen set up. We all enjoyed our rooms and views. Many shops nearby, can walk. We all walked and brought take outs back and sat on the picnic tables enjoying the evening and sunset. The next morning we cooked breakfast in one of the units for 13. There was a barbecue outside which the bacon was cooked and we had 3 toasters going. It was a lot of fun and I wished I could of stayed a few more nights. It was a bit expensive, but for one night it was sure worth it.

Room Tip: I would definitely get one of the waterfront ones.

A last minute decision to find accommodation for a group of 6 turned out to be a magical overnight stay at this jewel of an accommodation in Papamoa Beach Tauranga. I was personally blown away with the service at the front desk, polite; organised; warm and friendly. The accommodations in the 2-bedroom garden villa plus the spa garden villa were stylish and immaculate; sheltered and cosy, although the beach and panoramic views were just over the garden. Although we are all locals, some of us agreed we will definitely return here and bring our families with us in the near future, for a special treat. The extensive playground was in view of the motel, and the landscaping was particularly beautiful at this time of the year (spring). The premium price shared amongst 6 of us was negligible, and yet still worthwhile.

Room Tip: Garden villas are sheltered from the spring winds.

What a lovely spot. Lovely cabins right on the beach. Could sit in the spa in our cabin, looking at the ocean, enjoying a bottle of wine. How many Caravan parks have that sort of accommodation. Would definitely recommend.

The first thing I noticed about this campground was how attentive the staff was. The campground is very beautiful and overlooks a wonderful beach. We stayed 2 nights and discovered during the first night that there was an overhead light that shone right into our motorhomes through the overhead vent. We asked if we could move and were given the approval no questions asked. The camp ground is only a short distance from Mt Manganui so we were able to drive there to explore the mountain. The facilities were very clean and modern with the showers access from the outside which was very convenient. Would recommend this campsite highly.
