My fiance and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Invercoe. We stayed in one of the hobbit houses and we are both extremely impressed. We normally camp, however as it was late September and thinking it may be a bit too chilly we decided to stay here. The house we stayed in (Frodo) was fully equipped with a double bed, 2 single beds, a TV, heater, fridge, microwave and kettle. I found the beds to be extremely comfortable and the huts themselves to be adequately sized (don't let the 'Hobbit' part fool you - there is ample space). They were well lit internally and there is a blind on the door for privacy.
The huts themselves and the toilets on site are extremely clean, I could not fault the cleanliness at all. There is also a good number of toilet/shower cubicles, so no having to queue. The showers were hot and the cubicles themselves are spacious.
There is an on-site shop, so if, like us, you run out of the essentials, you will get it here.
We were fortunate that we had glorious weather and were able to sit outside on the decking and have our breakfast whilst admiring the stunning views of Loch Leven and the surrounding mountains.
All-in-all I found this to be very good value for money and a fantastic alternative to camping and we will definitely be staying here again.
Nearly forgot to say that the hobbit houses are dog friendly, so great for those with dogs that struggle to find accommodation.
