Kareen immediately makes you feel at ease and is full of great suggestions on places to go for dinner, hiking, whatever! Accommodation is modern and super clean and breakfast included Kareen's homemade yoghurts and preserves. We definitely plan on visiting again!

This was the best B&B during our whole trip in Scotland and we would have very much liked to stay there longer. The atmosphere was wonderfull, the rooms very nicely furbished, the shower a dream (!) and breakfast great - it feels like a big family.
The B&B is very nicely situated at the Loch whereupon our room had a nice view. We would definetely go there again, the area is also very nice for hiking.
Just be aware of Kareen's hiking advice: She seems to very fit so expect to walk longer than she tells you :) But it was a perfect stay all in all, we strongly recommend to stay there if you come by!

After being rained on for two days solid in a small leaky tent, we decided to give in to the Scottish weather and stay at a guesthouse... and it made the holiday. Not only were the rooms beautifully clean and cosy, but the bed was possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The en-suite facilities were an absolute dream (particularly the wide-headed shower) and we just couldn't get enough of Kareen's stupendous breakfasts. Kareen was the perfect hostess; informative, kind and considerate - she even lent us equipment to go hiking up Ben Nevis and to go canoeing out on the Loch (which is literally just out the front door). She went out of her way to make us feel at home and we were so sorry to have to leave.
I can't recommend Kareen's wonderful guesthouse highly enough.

We were very late arriving with young children from Edinburgh due to a wrong turn. Kareen is an unbelievably welcoming host. The location is great.

KAREEN WAS A WONDERFUL HOST. FRIENDLY AS SOON AS WE ARRIVED TO THE TIME WE LEFT. THE ROOMS ARE MODERN AND CLEAN AGAIN KAREEN CAN NOT DO ENOUGH
Breakfast was excellent especially the home made yogurt and fresh fruits and home made jam,

Kareen is a warm and friendly person. after a wet day on the hills she left us extra towels, the shower is excellent. this is more like staying with a friend than a bed and breakfast, she has great knowlwdge of all the eating places close by

we will certainly be back. I am just glad we had the joy to find her by accident.

The first thing you notice about Lios Mhoire is the amazing location - on Loch Leven. Its a beautiful little B&B in Glencoe. The owner Kareen is simply fantastic - she is a font of all knowledge for local activities (such as where to visit, where to eat, what to do etc) and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome.

Our room (number 1) was ground floor and overlooked Loch Leven. The room itself is done up in a contemporary style (as is the whole place) but still in keeping with its character. There were creaky wooden floors, fresh fluffy towels, TV with digital channels and built in DVD player, tea coffee biscuits and cadburys Roses in the rooms and a wonderful bucket shower head with lots of hot water - perfect after exploring. There is use of the internet and an extensive selection of board games, books and DVDs if needed.

You are within walking distance of Glencoe village and Ballachulish, and there is a lovely place called the Clachaig Inn which does hearty pub meals (venison to die for) about 2 miles drive away - again recommended by Kareen. There is a little shop in Glencoe village which does all the essentials, including nice ice creams. Fort William is about 35 minutes away by car.

Would also recommend a trip to the Glencoe forest park - 3 different trails to follow taking about 45 mins each if you fancy a light introduction to the mountains.

Back to the B&B - breakfast was fantastic - a large table where all the guests sit together overlooking the Loch. Food and service impeccable and was nice to have a chat with other guests in the morning.

Probably the nicest B&B we have ever visited, and will definitely return.
