“An excellent host!”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

We really enjoyed our stay at Lois Mhoire. The rooms were nice, clean and warm. The host was extremely helpful and welcoming. She prepared an excellent breakfast and was able to tell us a bit about the history of this beautiful place. Also has a collection of DVDs for the evenings. Would definitely recommend it.

We booked into Lios Mhoire for a night in May. Excellent value accommodation in Glencoe village. The house has an excellent view over the Loch and the rooms are modern and cosy. The owner is lovely: very friendly and extremely helpful offering to drive us to the start of our hike the next day. Good scottish cooked breakfast the next morning served around a big breakfast table for all guests giving it a nice family feel. The highlight for me was the huge bowl of fresh fruit with various yogurt and granola options. Super tasty. All in all, excellent value accommodation with a star of an owner.

We stayed at Lios Mhoire while on a cycling tour. We were wet and cold when we arrived but Kareen could not have been more helpful. She put us in the large family room so that we could use the bath, washed and dried our smelly cycling clothes and dried out our footwear for us. The room was warm, comfortable and modern. We enjoyed an evening meal at the nearby Glencoe Hotel. Next morning we were treated to a large breakfast with plenty of choice. Kareen is very friendly and chatty and is very accommodating to the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. Highly recommended and good value. We hope to return in better weather!

Room Tip: Family room has a nice big bath but early morning traffic was a bit noisy

We stayed at Lios Mhoire the night of May 2nd 2012. The b and b is in a beautiful spot overlooking Loch Leven. Kareen, our host, was a lovely, chatty lady who let us have our choice of rooms as she was not fully booked. We chose a room at the front of the house overlooking the loch.
The bed was comfortable, the room clean and tidy and the bathroom had the biggest shower head we have ever seen!
Kareen recommended The Clachaig Inn for dinner and that was a delight---
rather a unique pub, nestled in the mountains around Glencoe village.
Breakfast was a community affair as all Kareen's guests share one large table while Kareen bustles around in the kitchen chatting to her visitors while she cooks.
We loved staying at Lios Mhoire and would highly recommend it as a place to stay while in Glencoe.

We stayed at 7 different addresses during our Scotland trip, ranging from a fairly expensive hotel "down to" a youth hostel, with a number of B&Bs in-between. Well, Lios Mhoire was our favourite of the lot! The house, the location, and especially the owner, makes this B&B stand out (very easily) from the rest. The breakfast was delicious and royally generous. The host was very, very nice. She was interesting, humorous, helpful, and showed genuine interest in her guests. Top marks !!

Room Tip: We had the road-facing room, which suffered a teensy bit of traffic noise in the evening, but at nig...

Booked this B&B for 4 guys on a ski trip at the last minute based on reviews here.

Kareen, the host, made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are really clean and modern and the beds are comfortable. The B&B is ideally placed with views overlooking the Loch.

Kareen volunteered to taxi us to and from a local Inn, which after a long drive to Glencoe was much appreciated.

Breakfast was hearty but it fuelled us ready for skiing.

We all took a business card and would recommend this B&B to all, apart from when we need to use it next!
