The Orange Tree has seen several incarnations but epitomises what good pub food should be these days. Gone are the days of chicken in a basket from the 1970s and the food we should now expect is here at The Orange Tree.
A concise menu offering decent options and each cooked very well. On my recent visit with my wife and father in law they both chose pies (steak and ale, and chicken leek and bacon), which were both very good with well cooked vegetables. I had a steak which cam on the bone and was reminiscent of something the Flintstones would have eaten. (I didn't need to eat for 24hours.)
The staff were very attentive and it was busy I cannot fault the prices food or staff - what good pub food is all about in 2018.
