We called in here on an evening for a light meal. This is situated in one of the many ugly looking cafe/restaurants/bars which litter the promenade in Costa de Caparica. The buildings are functional but how anyone could inflict such ugly architecture along a lovely beachfront amazes me.
This is a big restaurant space and Caroline do Aires was in existence in a former building when we visited in 2005 and had a lovely authentic feel to it. We ordered omelette and french fries and it fed us! The chips were soggy and grey looking and the omelette was okay. We did have a nice bottle of wine. We were presented with rolls and cream cheese as we sat down but we did not partake....so were not charged for this.
The omelettes were €8 ish so not very cheap for what we got...maybe we ordered badly as we did see lots of customers enjoying fish dishes.
