“Lovely but take a phrasebook!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2008

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for, although not necessarily for everyone. I can imagine a few people having complaints, but only because they did not do their homework properly when booking.
The hotel has a lovely large pool with bar, and very quiet. The Italians (of whom make up the most amount of guests) tend to go to the beach, leaving the pool almost empty. The pool is however almost a 3-5 minute walk from the hotel rooms, which seems ok, but the pool bar does not have a toilet so it can get a bit tedious. The rooms themselves are very clean and well kept, a little smaller than some rooms I have stayed in but it is made up for with a nice size balcony.
The hotel feels quite remote when entering from the road, however on foot the port is only a 10 minute walk away which offers various restaurants and a few shops.
I would seriously recommend taking a phrasebook, many of the restaurants did not speak any english and most of them did not have english menus. The hotel staff were ok, although not all could speak much english.
Overall if you would like a nice quiet break with some nice restaurants then I would certainly recommend.

This hotel had good clean rooms with a great shower. The service was first class and the food was regional and cooked to a good standard. The beach was OK and the sea was lovely and clear. The pool was amazing.

The place is nice. The people working there from reception to cleaning rooms very friendly. Swimming pool a must- you feel like you are at a spa hotel. The beach is not fantastic, but if have a car there are plenty of nice beaches around.
The only negative point was breakfast- for the quality and price they should improve it- no fresh fruit, no eggs, no variety on pastries, ham and cheese and besides that, the replacement of food very deficient.

The Hotel opened earlier this year, so everything is new, clean and tidy. The rooms are in 3 seperate buildings, 2 buildings are single storey, one has 2 stories. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy with the best shower I have ever used. The daily maid service keeps them that way. The room was build into an earth mound which kept the room very cool; despite 30 degree heat we hardly used the air-con. There are wooden shutters against the patio doors which are double locked, which can be confusing.
The pool is approximately 200m from the rooms and was empty. Imagine, a 40mx40m pool to yourself, it was heaven! Most of the guests were at the hotel's private stretch of beach which was livelier, with people trying to sell you things but who went away when you said no. The beach was white sand with a gentle slope into the sea, and an off-shore breeze.
The food at dinner was amazing. If you decide against the half-board option it costs 30 euros but is well worth it. There are plenty of resturants in the nearby village, but we did not try any.
The staff were all very helpful, the reception staff speaking good english. The resturant staff were very patient as they did not speak much english, and I do not speak much Italian, but we got by. There is an English menu if you ask for it which makes things easier.
This is not a Hotel for people looking for a lively holiday, it is near other livelier hotels, but is out of the way. Consequently, when taking a taxi from Olbia airport be prepared to pay 55 euros each way to get to the hotel; 90 if you arrive late at night.
Overall an excellent hotel, excellently priced for those looking for peace and tranquility.
