We stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas with their Christmas special deal, although arriving late due to transport problems(Ryanair),the staff were very accommodating and helpful, our room was spacious and very clean with a small balcony, fresh fruit and water on arrival, the bathroom was exceptional,a shower with all the various jets, very nice!.Our package consisted of 3 breakfasts,2 evening meals with a Christmas Eve buffet, all the meals were excellent, the buffet lasted for 3 hours and was amazing, the food just kept coming and coming, the waiting staff were very attentive without being in your face.Although not fluent in German I found no real language problem as the staff would come to my assistance with the menu!.All in all this was a very pleasant stay and would not hesitate to recommend this place,in fact we hope to return in the spring!
NB.The free Konus card for travel in the area is a nice touch, which we used on several trips, including our journey to Freiburg to catch our connecting train back to Karlsruhe!

St. Peter is nice village in the Black Forest that we spent two nights at. It is quite modern both in the restaurant and in the rooms. Very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was almost of gourmet quality as the restaurant is a high end one. It was very good both days. Unfortunately, there where no English menus for the evening meals, so we were unable to go there for dinner. There were other restaurants in town that accommodated english speaking guests. Other than that, the staff was friendly and accommodated us quite well. We would recommend this place when staying in the Black Forest region. Lots of hiking trails around.

We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The restaurant is absolutely beautifully styled.

We loved the robes and slippers in the room. We had a large balcony off of our room and a gorgeous bathroom.

We were dissapointed there was nobody to welcome us on the Monday we arrived but this appears to be common in this area and Mondays are generally quieter.

We would have also liked an English translation in the room book.

This little village is very picturesque and worth the visit- like a postcard!

We had been recommended this restaurant by a hotelier in a nearby village, and what an excellent recommendation it turned out to be. We arrived at about 4pm, in between lunch and dinner services when the restaurant was empty. After checking with the kitchen that they would be prepared to cook for us, they welcoming hostess showed us to a lovely large table in window. Understandably the fully dressed tables in their white linen were off limits - as they were being prepared for the evening.
We three snuggled into one corner of the table and enjoyed a leisurely afternoon meal with unobtrusive and helpful service from staff. The tagliatelle with goats cheese and rocket/cashew pesto was divine. The stars of the dish were the grilled tomatoes that elevated the dish to near perfection. A few more on the plate would have been most welcome! Two of us had this dish, our companion had the Schwarzwald trout which was reported to be delicious too. We finished our meal with lovely coffees which were served with a tiny petit four - I could have eaten six of them.
This restaurant is not cheap but neither should it be. The food was excellent, the decor is modern and clean with a strong traditional edge to it. It is light and bright and somehow warm and cozy too. This place is worth a visit for sure!!

We booked this hotel in July and by chance emailed them to confirmed directions - only to be told they forgot to make our booking on the their system. They did not do anything to help us find alternative accommodation other than sending us some links of hotels (we have friends flying in from London) and were completely unhelpful on the phone. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
