We chose the hotel because of its proximity to the airport, it's only a 15 minute car ride. However, be aware that it's located outside the regular city zone and thus a taxi fare will be around 50 Euro per trip. If you have a rental car that's not an issue. However, due to unforseen circumstances we had to return our rental car earlier and ended up with expensive taxi rides. One time the taxi driver overcharged us but we were able to get him to talk to the night clerk at Motel Corsi who helped us over the language barrier and corrected the fare.

The location is also close to several nice sandy beaches (about 6 km). We got excellent directions from the Motel staff and had a good time relaxing at the end of our vacation.

The room (we had a quad on the 3rd floor) was what we had expected for this price range: clean, just big enough, no luxury, decent sized bathroom with large shower that was great to wash off the beach sand. The mattress wasn't great but we've seen worse in Italy. Air conditioning was in good shape and very appreciated on a day with 35 C. Some train noise was audible even with closed windows. During the night it calmed down.

We had to leave before 5 am to catch our flight. The wake-up call was prompt. No breakfast offered at this time, though, and shuttle service to the airport starts not till later so it was another expensive taxi ride for us.

And yes, we can definitely recommend the restaurant accross the street.

The hotel was a notch above gross. Maybe they have much better rooms on a different floor or something. We stayed on the 3rd floor, in a Quad room.

The hotel is old, and fairly run down. See the pictures of the room I have attached.

The sheets were clean, but the bedspread and blankets looked like they were 50 years old. Sheets were not that bad. Pillows were as flat as they could be.

Check in was quick and easy, check out was too.

It was warm in our room, but it was march and the AC was not working, so we had to open the windows. Other comments about the trains are accurate, they are very noisy and start very early in the morning.

Breakfast was nice and the lady working breakfast was very friendly and tried to help. She was also very busy. The buffet has a large selection of pastries and I wouldn't really consider it an american breakfast.

I was fairly frustrated when we arrived because it really didn't line up with the reviews I read. If you stay here please be aware of what you will get. We almost left it was so bad, but we were only there for a few hours until our flight departed from FCO. We tried the courtyard at the Airport and it was full.

We stayed at the Motel Corsi on the last night of our 10 day Italian vacation. It was the perfect place for us as it was very close to the airport and gave us a nice last taste of Italy before getting on the plane for home.

Our room was very clean but the best part was the shower. Fantastic water pressure to wash off the dust from a long travel day.

I would also highly recommend the restaurant across the street. The served up a memorable and authentic Italian meal for our last night.

The extensive breakfast was a welcome surprise.

The hotel is on a busy road, but the windows kept out most if not all of the noise.

I would stay here again.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU HAVE A CAR!

My wife and I booked a night at the Motel Corsi because we had an early flight and wanted to be near the airport in Rome (FCO). We made the reservation at Venere.com because, according to the site, the hotel was accessible by train. It is not. We followed the directions and wound up at an abandoned train station in the middle of nowhere...literally.

We called the hotel and told the man who answered that we were at the train station. He yelled at us, "Why are you there?" We explained that we were given directions to arrive by train and he told us that was a mistake. He said that there was no shuttle or taxi service in the area and that we would have to walk to catch a bus. We flagged down a passing bus but the driver would not accept our cash (he couldn't break a 20 euro note). It was getting dark and we didn't want to walk 2 miles down the side of a busy highway (with no shoulder) with our luggage so we (illegally, we had no ticket) hopped on a train back to Rome and found a nice, cheap place to stay near Termini station.

Even if we had made it to the Hotel Corsi, with no taxi or shuttle it would have been nearly impossible to get to the airport on time.

This might be a wonderful place to stay but I will never know. Do not stay here without a car.

p.s. - As soon as I got off the phone with the man at the hotel he charged my credit card for the room.

Motel Corsi was a delightful experience, especially after a 12-day cruise throughout the Mediterranean. It is only 1.5 km from the train station from Civatevecchia to Rome. Simona was very pleasant and accomodating. We found the room to be quite spacious, pleasant and cool with marble floors. The bathroom had recently been renovated and the room had satellite TV. We chose this place because of its proximity to the airport; our flight left at 6:45 am and we needed to be there at 5:00. Be sure to allow plenty of time ; Italians are notorious for being late and operate frequently on their own schedule. We missed the continental breakfast because of our early flight; my mother said it was amazing. There is a large grocery store nearby that offered the most amazing foods in the deli section. Had the best pickled herring and olives from this store. The most pleasant experience was the trattoria across the street run by Carlo. The Sea Bass was so fresh and delicious and very reasonable -- 3 euros. It seemed to be a local favorite and was pretty busy for a Tuesday. If we come back to Rome, I wouldn't hesitate staying here. I highly recommened this charming place it if you want to experience Italy outside the hustle and bustle of Rome away from the massive tourist crowds. Aileen & John, Augusta Georiga

Near the airport..........why we chose it. Price should have given it away. It is a dump.

Room smelled of smoke; mattress horrible; noisy street; do not go to this Hotel unless you have to.

The only good thing was the restaurant across the street was the most typical "Godfather" type restaurant I've ever been in. The food was great, but if it hadn't been, you would have been afraid to complain.

We arrived at the Hotel at 7:30am,after leaving Carnivals Liberty in Cittavecchia Italy. we did not have a problem to get into our room at that hour ,and the sumtuious breakfast (American) was a bonus. This hotel is about 40 minutes from Romes Port and 15 minutes from Romes Flulmincino Airport,in a stright line onA12 the autostrada.(be prepaed for outrageous Taxi fare from the port to the hoel was 160Euros or 190.00 US. The next day we went to the aairport and the fare was 35 Euros. So the best bet is to find a bus from the port to the airport if u want to save money, The owner Mr Costi and his waitress in the restaurant were very helpfull in suggesting that for 12Euros each a bus and train ticket could be purchased for the day. We the spent our las tday in Rome very Inexpenseivlly.(NO TAXI) Also the room was a nice size and ver clean. Again thank u Mr Costi a verry nice ending to my 25 ays in Italy.
