“Cosy, superfriendly place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

My girlfriend and me arrived at this nice B&B in the early evening.
The host was waiting for us outside which gave us a nice warm feeling, like coming home.

He immediately showed us our room, which was very spacious with double bed and an extra 1personbed, and a nice bathroom.
Then he gave us some information about the town and were to eat.
We have been talking for some time and he is very friendly and ambitious.

It has a beautiful balcony with a very nice view over the sea and the sunset.
The B&B is only 1 street away from the beautiful beach and a 10 minute drive from Fiumicino airport. The best way to get there is with a local taxi.

We had to be at the airport at 7am and the host (Andrea) drove us there at 6.30 am.
He drove us for free. Also they provided us with a good italian breakfast.

There is a little bit of noise from the airport (planes going up), but after 3 airplanes, you're used to the sound of it. So it's no problem at all.

They also have a cute little and sweet dog in the front garden.

The mother of the host is also helping in the B&B. She is very nice and a real mother!!

If you email the B&B you get an email back within the day.

We'd recommend anyone to go to this place, it's ideal to sleep there before you go home, or to go there when you arrived in the evening and want a quiet night of sleep.

My husband and I stayed at the Fly and Beach because we had an early morning flight out of Fiumicino Airport. We took a taxi from the airport for about 18 euros and arrived late - around 10pm. We were greeted and checked in by a very nice lady. Our flight departed at 7am so we unfortunately did not get to see the city or really make use of the place. However, the room was very nice - simple, yet had everything we needed and it was a good size. There was a mini fridge with free drinks. The shower room was a nice size and they provided bath gel and shampoo and fresh, fluffy towels.

There was a little bit of noise from planes, but this really did not bother us because we are not light sleepers. It was the proximity to the airport that enticed us in the first place, so we cannot complain!

What blew us away is that they agreed to give us a wake up call at 4:30am and they had breakfast on the table and ready for us at 4:45am. The breakfast was very good - the coffee was amazing. There was also fresh fruit juices and the typical Italian breakfast of assorted rolls. It was the perfect start to the day. When we were finished, Andrea drove us to the airport at 5am for free! We had plenty of time to relax before our flight.

Everything was perfect and exactly what we needed. And the price was right at 80 euros. We will definitely stay here again next time we need an early flight out of Fiumicinio. Thanks Andrea!

My wife and I loved 'Fly and Beach'. Period. We loved it!

I was here for one night only but the feeling of warmth and homeliness you get from Fly and Beach is just amazing. The rooms are very clean, very comfortable and above all - have a human touch to it that regular hotels do not have.

Even before our trip began, I had written to Andrea and arranged to stay at his place for two days. howeevr, at the last moment, I missed one of my connecting flight and my stay was cut short to only one day - but Andrea was very understanding.

He picked us up from the airport and took us to his place where the F&B is. Because of all the trouble, we had already had, he did not even charge us for the one day no-show and still was vey warm towards us all through.

The room itself, was very cozy and also had Wifi and hot water. It was raining the day we reached there so we could not go the the beach - but i saw it from the window and its very close if the weather is holding up.

The next day, Andrea was ready at 5:30 AM to drop us at the airport back for our return flight.

My wife and I loved our short stay with Andrea and his lovely family. if given an opportunity, I would love to go back to Fly & Beach and spend more time to Andrea and family.

Thank you Andrea for your amazing hospitality.

Room Tip: Take time out to talk to Andrea and his wife - they are amazing people.

After a 10-day trip in Italy, we were in dire need of a hotel near the airport, since we all had flights the next morning. After reading the reviews here, we called the owners of Fly and Beach and they were able to offer us a room for the very next day for a very reasonable price.

They were able to give us a double room and a triple room for our five-person group, and they were nice enough to stay up til after 11 pm to greet us outside the hotel. Andrea stayed in communication with us via email and text message to make sure we would be welcomed when we arrived. The rooms were very clean and comforting, which was a relief since our hotel in Rome had been fairly dirty and sparse.

They gave us a very nice complimentary continental breakfast in the morning, and Massimo drove each of us to the airport for our flights.

Overall, a perfect end to a great trip in Italy. If you need a B&B or hotel near the airport, definitely choose this one.

I apologize for the late review but I wanted to let travelers know about this B&B gem in Fiumicino about a 5min drive from the airport. I was only there for one night but the family running the B&B made me feel very welcome. They prepared a lovely continental breakfast for me on the terrace and drove me to and from the airport. The rooms were simple, clean, and comfortable, and the B&B is located by the beach.
A charming family and a charming experience.

This was the perfect place to relax and spend our last night in Italy after a whirlwind two weeks in Rome and Florence. Andrea picked us up at the airport, saving us the cost of a cab. Our room at the back of the house was spacious with a good-sized private bath and a small balcony that you could see the airport runway from. The complementary mini-bar was a great bonus! Although the resort area shuts down for the season on October 1, it was still plenty warm for us to stroll along the beach and hit a nearby snack bar for treats. We, too, caught the amazing sunset from the house balcony -- just gorgeous. We ate dinner outside at the seafood restaurant around the corner, which was nice and decently priced. Andrea's wife set out a lovely breakfast spread the next morning before Andrea gave us a ride to the airport for our flight home. Highly recommended!

Our host and his wife picked us up at the aIrport (there were 6 of us) and took us to the B&B thus saving us the expense of cab rides. They hurried us home just in time to view a beautiful sunset from their front second floor terrace as it sank below the horizon of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The family was friendly and gracious and their English and our poor Italian made it possible for us to communicate effectively. They helped us with directions and attractions. Fiumicino and the ruins of Ostia Antica are nearby. I have read the other reviews and it is true that there are few restaurants in the area but the two we used were excellent even the one that did not start serving until 8:00 PM. Since we were so close to the beach we enjoyed the sand, swam in the sea and loved the sunsets. Breakfastes were great and we too were up early with our hosts to return to the airport.
