We spent one night in this B&B in the Irish countryside. We booked our reservation on line the day before and were advised that we needed to check in between 3pm and 6pm. We did not arrive until 6:30pm but were greeted warmly by Marie and exuberantly by Fritz, her dog. She offered us tea when we arrived, but it was too late (in our opinions) for caffeine, so we passed. The house is very old and smells like an old house, but our room, on the second floor, was large, very comfortable and very clean. We had a lovely view. The WI-FI did not work in the room but it did work outside of the room and there were chairs where you could sit and check your email. Marie sent us into Kildare (an easy 10-minute drive) for dinner and fixed a nice Irish breakfast in the morning. This was a perfect location for a stay the night before visiting the Irish National Stud. Be sure to go to the Cloncarlinhouse.com website for directions. The price was very reasonable. I suspect Marie would be happiest if you paid cash.
