It was the second time i decided to stay here on the way true Germany. Last year I stayed in the old rooms on top of the restaurant, these are best to be avoided as they are old and outdated and have a very small bathroom,.
This time I was able to select the new rooms in the newly built wing. Nicely done and well appointed. If you consider the price it was world class I would say!
Its just a few km off the A3 in the rolling hills. The restaurant surprises me every time. Its good food for a price I can not even get a starter for in the Netherlands....
Breakfast is typically Germany and complete. Not much you can think of is not there.
Staff is friendly and I find it a recommendable place.
Parking is on own lot adjacent to the hotel.

Room Tip: avoid the 'old' wing and the non renovated rooms.

The idea of a hotel is to have a bed and a good sleep. For us this was not possible. A party by an insurancecompany in the big hall one floor below our room kept both of us awake till 01:30 on a Friday evening. I called the frontdesk and they promised to turn noise down but this did not happen. A second call as not answered.

Better book a different hotel if you want rest. Judging at the large parking these kind of parties are oftern organised here.

Room was very nice and large. Restaurant nice as well.

My husband booked this hotel as a stop half way to our end destination. He's been here before and liked it. Rightly so! I was amazed at the room, spacious with a great view over the valley. I wanted to take the bathroom with me and have it at home. A large walk-in shower, without a curtain, lots of space.
The restaurant is good. There was a large group, the evening we were there, but even though,
service was still attentive and friendly. We ended up in the bar for a night cap. Highly recommended. Also, have a look at the prices. Price/performance is excellent.

Room Tip: Take one of the new rooms, they are a bit more expensive, but the old ones are not so nice.

I visited Mueller's 2 times and the experiences were quite different as well as similar. The easiest way to understand what I mean is to have a look at the fotos I attached.

Let's begin with the positive, for which they get 4 stars:
1. Service is great
2. Restaurant is very good. Good German cooking with a big thumbs up.
3. Location is conveniently close to the A3 motorway, some 90 km south of Frankfurt.
4. Good quality WiFi, free of charge.
5. Excellent price/performance.

Then, the rooms.
First time I stayed I was in a so-called "Komfort Zimmer", which was spacious, modern and clean. Great shower.
The second time I was driving home and needed a place to stay. I called the hotel and they said they had a "Standard Zimmer" available at a very low cost. That was a bummer.
It was in older part of the hotel, furnishings straight from the 70's and it smelled like it...
The room and bathroom were big, no problem, but look at the pics of room 15 and you'll get my drift.

Conclusion: do go here and as long as you'll take a comfort room or a suite you'll have a great time! My sub-ratings are based on the Komfort Zimmer, as that is the true yardstick.

Room Tip: Take a "Komfort Zimmer"or better, don't bother with the standard rooms.

We had a comfortable stay at Mueller's Landgasthof. Spacious rooms; excellent food. Hospitality by owners leaves much to be desired. No contact at all. Staff friendly and helpful. When it gets busy though, they tend to mess things up and forget about orders. Should be improved.

I arrived late in the evening early in the year and clearly off-season, yet the welcome was warm and I was given the Suite, which I had obviously booked by mistake. The room was nice and spacious with a huge tub and a shower in which you could easily walk around the running shower without even getting wet. Despite the late hour they kept the kitchen open so that i could order and taste the very tender filet de mignon and excellent french fries and enjoy the friendly waitress. Breakfast left no desire open. It's not the most charming place I have ever been but I can certainly recommend it.
