“Come early or you will be eating only Cassoulet. But that's not a bad thing necessarily...”

We came here to eat Cassoulet, following the recomendation of the staff at Les Pyrenees, on a trip to France. And it didn't disappoint. The place is beautiful, and it gives the atmosphere of a family run business (not sure whether it is or not). As a good spaniard, I planned to arrive early for lunch around 2, but that's far too late for this part of France I guess, so I recommend to book and to be there early. We got lost, and arrived a bit late, and all it was offered to us was Cassoulet. They were very polite about it, and we really didn't care, and it was really really really good. The staff is helpful and polite, prices are not too high, and food and desserts are amazing. Not easy to eat the full Cassoulet and leave room for dessert, but I managed. And you should as well....Again, arrive early and without having had breakfast.

We have been eating at Le Tirou Restaurant now for many years and it is always superb.

The family run business provides a wonderful setting to eat the best Cassoulet and foie gras!

The restaurant has been artistically decorated and the animals in the garden make it very special.

We had a very nice meal at this restaurant and good service. We really enjoyed the cassoulet which was a specialty of the house like many other restaurants in Castelnaudary. We ate inside but they have nice terrace for outside dining if weather permits.

Very welcoming. Delicious and interesting food from people that love food. The locals were there. Spectacular violette aperitif. Friendly environment with animals and toy cars. We biked home to the porte for cigars and armagnac.

We took the 3 courses menu €31, as the cheaper one is not available at the weekend. Great food and azing cassoulet or confit. Come with an appetite, all of the produce are locally produced and some even made on site like the Toulouse sausage and the ice creams. On a sunny day, there is a great terrace with some hens, donkeys and lamas roaming in the garden. Service was great and very friendly
