Have asked the locals to recommend a hotel around the area before I read the reviews from TripAdvisor. The locals recommend another hotel and this hotel have a high rating and a #1 spot in the area on TripAdvisor. Went with TripAdvisor. Check-in time was fast. Receptionist were not friendly though. Paid THB 700 for a twin bed standard room. The exterior looks promising. However, the room were bad. Yes. The air conditioning is quiet BUT being compensated with the noisy refrigerator (which I unplug it later). Never mind. That's still not a big issue. After a tiring day, thought of having a nice and relaxing hot shower. When I took the towel, my first impression was WTF. Asked my friend how is his towels. Same. There was some brown stains on it. Called the receptionist to have it changed even they insisted it's clean. They came and replaced the towels and then I proceed to shower. The hot and water is even better. 10 sec or less with hot water then cold water and then process keeps repeating. Totally dissapointed. It's not the matter of the price. The hygience is really terrible and the shower is worst. I wonder if things will still be the same if I went with the locals recommendations. I wrote this review after my shower as I won't have high hopes on the breakfast tomorrow morning and most probably I'll eat outside with my friend. Guess can't complain coz of the price. Also, my phone with Edge signals have better speed that the hotel's WiFi.

I should have checked before booking so can't fault the hotel for my disappointment. The rooms do not have a safe and the reception does not offer a safe deposit facility. Such a shame as it was for me a major flaw in an otherwise bargain hotel. I booked through Agoda.com and paid in my own currency – which converted to approximately 700 Baht per night including taxes and service but excluding breakfast. Bargain!
The space in the rooms is more than adequate but there is only one wardrobe without a door to stow your belongings in. The air conditioning unit is both quiet and effective, and the bed has a deep comfortable mattress offering a good night’s sleep. A large refrigerator is provided with 2 complimentary bottles of a ‘named’ water daily.
The bathroom - is a good size but unfortunately is of the ‘wet floor’ variety… take a shower and all the floor and toilet gets wet. Nice power shower with hot & cold water and an additional overhead rose, and the hand basin with a mirror above it has hot as well as cold water too. One small bottle of shampoo and one of shower gel provided in the room on arrival – although a soap/shampoo dispenser on the wall would have been handy because there isn’t a soap holder anywhere or a shelf below the mirror on which to put your toiletries… the only place to put anything is in the two recesses in the wall between the toilet and shower. Similarly there’s nowhere to hang a towel whilst showering, or anywhere to hang it up to dry afterwards.
In keeping with the minimalistic style there is no toilet roll holder in the vicinity of the toilet – since it would in any case likely get sprayed from the shower… instead there is a free range meaning place where you like plastic tissue dispenser box parked in the wall recess – the sort of dispenser that uses a toilet roll rather than a box of Kleenex as tissues. One gets the impression that guests are encouraged to use the (ooh very powerful) hand faucet to clean their behinds, using toilet paper only to ‘dry off’ with afterwards.
Breakfast: They’re having a laugh! Served between 7-12am but forget the standard farang 130 Baht offering and just request at reception 2 fried eggs for 30 Baht and then make your own toast coffee tea etc from the buffet tables. Saves a lot of disappointment even when the butter is still a ‘no have’ item...
These little niggles spoil an otherwise good experience. Would I stay here again? Yes - if the security aspect wasn’t so important but otherwise the quality of the room outways the lesser niggles for the price. The location is as good as any "in town".

Stayed in the T3 House while in Ubon. A brand new building with a large car park this is the only place to stay. Airy rooms, pleasant staff and a central location makes this hotel a real winner.
The competition is very limited but this place is head and shoulders above the rest

Excellent hotel, (too) cheap for the quality you find there: SUPER PERFECTLY clean, fast internet, quiet air-con, free breakfast coffee and toast, walking distance to night market, friendly staff and very courteous owner.

Not a meet & greet atmo, but nice and very welcoming.

Ubon is becoming more 'on' the beaten track, despite its' distance from Bangkok. If you venture this far an ideal hotel is the T£. It's close to the city centre, relatively new and well not expensive. The rooms, being new, are large and excellently fitted out. The large bathroom and shower are heaven after a long day touristing. The staff are friendly, helpful and have a good command of English this far from BKK. No restaurant to speak of but there are many excellent ones nearby.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent.

New hotel (from 2012) with spacious and clean rooms.

The hotel is really cheap, I didn't expect so much comfort and such clean rooms for that price.

The owner is very friendly and helpful.

But: staff speaks (almost) no English and I had to find someone to make reservations in Thai.

My girlfriend and I work as English teachers in nearby Sisaket and when we want to get away for a night or weekend, Ubon is just a quick one hour journey away. When we want to indulge ourselves, we stay at T3 House. The staff is very friendly and speak English well enough. The real reason we stay here? The beds. Crawl into the beds here and you won't want to get out. In Thailand comfortable beds are often hard to come by at the price point that I'm willing to pay. In addition to pillow top mattresses, the bedding is top of the line. Add in the rain shower option in the bathroom and I'm in heaven. Will stay here again and again for a much needed respite. My only complaint is that the doors or pretty thin so hallway noise is a bit annoying. Voices and doors slamming are clearly audible, but this is a minor complaint. Thanks T3 for a great stay!
